Scam companies take advantage of the biggest advantage of blockchain, that is, the anonymity is very concealed. No one can query the other party's information through records. This makes the fraud companies very rampant. They use Ponzi schemes to attract funds and finally run away. One person can find out who started the scam, and the only thing we can do is refuse to trust the person who collects our currency!

It’s all about tactics, scammers are only able to make money through those that they can fool. So, that’s why you have to be careful, when you see anything that seems too good to be true you have to avoid it. There are so many methods that are being used by scammers to fool people and take their money. just like the one that told your friend to invest $150 and been watching advert to be earning daily, may looking at that he should know that it is a scam and not real.Instead of you to fall for all these things, it is best that you get a job and focus on it than looking for ways to make money quick so that you become rich all of a sudden. Sometimes scammers are not only after your money, they can steal your Personal information and use it to do whatever they want or even sell it on the dark web.

It is more like PTC (Pay to click) sites which already knew by a lot of people that they are not really earning by watching ads or maybe something else, but what they get is money from people who deposit after him. There are some sites that we must really aware with it.1. Cloud mining which only ask us to deposit and get earning certain percentage everyday/hour.
2. Sites who offer us to double our money only with deposit
3. Pay to click sites which ask us to buy ads to watch or maybe click and we get earning with that.

Scammers are always smart to use anything of value and popularity to commit fraud, including utilizing Bitcoin which is indeed increasing in popularity.

Nope, do not ever believe and attempt to invest into ponzi schemes that offer ridiculous returns in a short amount of time.
Personally, I have already invested into a ponzi scheme. For 3-4 months, you could actually see your investment increasing but on the last month before the maturity of your investment, the scam will happen and you will lose everything in the process.
2-3 years ago, I invested into a famous ponzi scheme called "USI TECH" where I even attended a conference that was held in the country. I was able to meet the developers and project head of the team and that bias gave me the security that the project would be legit. Unfortunately, lost $2000 worth of BTC and from there, I launched my campaign against all ponzi schemes in the forum.
There is no working system in that scheme. All that, the scam, is simple, is a case of robbing Paul to pay Peter; they pay the first set of victims with the money of a new member, and when the circle gets bigger; they boost the bubble, that is all. So such a scam is always called Ponzi.
Of course, fraud companies make money off of fraud, and Bitcoin is just a front for him. The fraud isn’t about bitcoin, it’s just one way to pay for it.

Scammers are very professional in stealing more money. It is very easy for them to scam the other investors. So it is very important to know more about the coin and do not click some links that is not familiar with you. Do not believe that there are free coin without doing an investment. Just dont trust anyone that easy by doing that, you will surely avoid yourself to be scam by professional scammers.

This is how some of the scams that I have encountered worked, they blind you with riches and make you think that you're doing something when really you're not. Just look at what they did in OneCoin and Bitconnect, they used bitcoin as a reference and tell everyone that they're the next big thing, they capitalize on the fame that bitcoin achieved.

there are many ways the company generates bitcoins. for sure as you mentioned through advertising media and cost per click and it looks like they are using big name bitcoin as public attention grabber. I don't think it's necessary to explain because it's against the law. let the crimes committed by stupid people, and don't publicize how they get bitcoins because that's the wrong way.
I was told that the money was paid in bitcoin and later it was converted to USD. I thought that they earned bitcoin by watching ads.

From your information i can conclude that, you guys must have paid him the 150 USD in Bitcoins and later the company ran away by taking your money in form of Bitcoins.
As Bitcoins is decentralised , so it’s hard to trace where the Bitcoins are sent.
Thus making the scammers easy to scam through this.

New comers is the main victim of scammers and that's because mostly newbies believing that there's a free money around the internet especially when it comes bitcoin.. perhaps the common scam issue are those site that offers free bitcoin, but you need to deposite first because it's forzen something like that,

Investment companies that raise capital and pay dividends have been around for years. It's a form of Ponzi and many people with or without knowledge of Ponzi still go into those companies. Because they know that their greed and the profits they can achieve are too tempting.

Scammer companies will tell you they will sell bitcoin in more price then market price or they say to invest in their project to earn 2X Bitcoin or many of these types mathods they use for victims.
