Since the popularity of AI, a lot has changed in so many sectors;

1. Students now rely much on it for their assignments and it's almost difficult to engage the brain in constructive reasoning since AI can always come through for them
This means that for the first point, AI leads students to become lazy and not hone the skills in their brains. They feel like they don't need to think and because they just need to ask AI for help then the job is done. I will continue to highlight this point as I am currently researching this further because being interested in measuring the quality of what they produce has clearly taken away their human side, a side where the brain which should control the work is actually dwarfed.

I have various things that I do, and together they amount to something like a full-time job. Everything I do was not affected negatively by AI: some was not affected, and some was affected positively. I don't use AI for this forum because I don't think that's what it's for. I also don't use it for my PhD-related work of writing academic texts. As a private tutor, I often use ChatGPT to help me brainstorm topics, summarize the information I find, come up with tasks. I don't use whatever it gives me, it's more like I cherry-pick what I need, and add something myself, but it's still useful. As a translator, I sometimes consult with ChatGPT about specific fragments of text or terms to brainstorm potential interpretations and translations. So overall, I'm feeling a positive impact of AI on my job. It's like a free assistant that can help me do what I need to do faster, more efficiently. I'm not feeling threatened by it.

It affects my job positively as AI can provide a fast response when you ask a question unlike researching on Google you'll need to read the blog before getting the answer. You can also use it as a personal assistant in your job like drafting an email and suggesting some information. In the technical part  programming it is very helpful in writing codes as it is easy to debug and when I need a script for some sheets instead of coding it I can just generate it via AI as it is fast.

It is not lazy it is boosting our productivity and working smartly because without it we spent too much time on that specific task  and focus on other tasks.

1. Students now rely much on it for their assignments and it's almost difficult to engage the brain in constructive reasoning since AI can always come through for them
2. It has affected the graphic space since you can just do an AI portrait, or simple graphics for yourself using the AI tool, and the graphics guy is technically not needed anymore.
3. The coding guys are not even left out and although it has its advantages in all these sectors I feel it also has done a huge damage in increasing the rate of laziness on the part of the youth.
1. It depends on the school quality, if they don't give a fuck about plagiarism, this will make the students can easily complete their assignments without use their brain. It's easy to check the text/paragraph was created by CHATGPT, this one of the tool https://writer.com/ai-content-detector/

2. Really? there's a big difference between art created by AI and art created by a human, the art created by AI is leaving many obvious mistakes.

3. Before AI exist, many programmers already copying someone else source code.

Of course, dependency will be very dangerous for the new generation's reasoning because they will have it easy with assistants who can help them 24 hours non-stop, I don't know how they will live their lives without AI if they are too dependent, maybe they will be the same as me today, worked in the internet space to earn income, and when the internet went down, I became a fool in hard work like farming, construction labor and so on.

This is indeed a very good thing, because it can help people to increase their productivity effectively and efficiently, but indeed we cannot deny that the impact on the character, behavior and opportunities of other people will be shifted in many business sectors, as you said in the field of graphic design, accounting, coding, and I even just heard that AI can be manifested as a teacher to teach, maybe in the future it will make humans more lazy.

We are enjoying the ease that comes with doing things using AI at the snap of our fingertips but I fear that over dependent on it might have serious effects on society, in the years to come.

I think we are all aware that AI has its positive and negative impacts on us, and in this regard, I believe that the advantages of AI still outweighs its disadvantages. It depends on how we use it, because in my experience, AI really helps a lot if its utilized properly and accordingly. It makes every work easier and faster, but it doesn't mean that we always have to be dependent to it because its purpose is to serve as an aid for us and not to be a total replacement. So, to answer that question, AI has affected my job positively.

The question here right now is, to what extent should we use AI?

My kind of job still requires human effort to be able to be carried out successfully. Am from a location where human effort is still greatly required than AI mostly because of not so technologically advanced to the degree of needing AI as an alternative to human beings.
Right now, I can't really say there is a negative or positive impact since AI has not really gained much recognition from where I reside. But who knows in a few years what the situation will be like.

Not sure how not just our job but our lives will be affected by AI. It's going to be scary to think that maybe in the next 10 years, they will completely replace everything that a human does. Before it was just science fiction, those that we can only seen in movies, but who knows, life imitates art, or as others say, art imitates life in this case.

But maybe just developed countries might be the first one to be affected as they are far advance though. Maybe in the production area, or such sector that we need to produce more in a day, perhaps AI technology might have a far reaching effect.

The presence of AI benefits humans, but unfortunately, they pin their hopes on AI to do their work. And this has happened to school students who use AI more often than using their brains to complete their assignments.

This can hinder the development of the human brain, which should be able to be more creative in making things. But because AI can help them complete each task, they leave it to AI to complete it. The convenience provided by AI seems to tempt humans to look for solutions through AI without any desire to try it themselves.

Gradually, humans will become too lazy to do anything because AI can do everything well and quickly. Humans only need to give orders to AI and then humans will receive the results.

Do you have any sources that tell students uses it excessively, and in which country?

Not entirely. The designer is still needed. They may be able to generate an image based on prompt input, but as far as I am concerned, they still lack the ability to generate a wonderful logo. Besides, there are other aspects like User Experience, which require human perception.

This also applies to code. Any system that is complex enough, and even a bare essential functionality of a simple system needs to be tested. The one who has the ability is of course the engineer. It would be a catastrophe if a system is purely coded by an AI without human intervention. By human intervention, is the thing that sensitive for example security and many other things.

AI is better than a Google search, I'm working in Tech support so whenever a problem that I haven't encountered yet, I am able to just ask for the AI to give me possible solutions to the problem that I'm currently facing which helps me narrow down the possible solutions and the causes of the problems. So for me definitely a positive, as for the AI that I am using, ChatGPT was my first use but now whenever I need to do spreadsheet works, I use Bard, more clean solutions there compared to ChatGPT.

I see that some people overestimate what AI can do and find it very scary, which is often true of new things - it could be equivalent of the advent of the internet in the long run and revolutionary, but we're still at the very early stages of figuring out it's potential. I see it being used at my workplace for all sorts of things, some people are asking it to write database queries for them and while it is quite good, using some advanced techniques, it still has room for improvement and for company purposes you cannot give it too much proprietary data. It's also been excellent for writing articles or even in certain circumstances giving the outline for a personal review - if you plug in the right criteria it can get very close to human writing styles.

Another downside to using AI is it leaves no room for creativity and showmanship. There are numerous advantages it can bring to any organization or individual but then, when you think of cost of maintenance and how it's performance rate is limited, there's a rethink to whether a purchase is worth it.

I've not been acutely affected by AI but a friend in the medical field was affected as they were forced to give up their jobs because the organization felt it was a way to save money since AI does most of their duties. I wouldn't call AI a menace yet, an upgraded way to hasten up tasks? Yes. But in life, what has its pros will have cons that would outweigh the good in some cases.

Before sharing my thoughts on this topic, I would like to mention that I do think this board is not about AI and it seems a little off-topic but deeply if we see and compare the impact of AI then things have changed at economic levels. I recently wrote an article about the Impact of AI on the job sector. And in writing of that article (during research), I found that
Quote
AI might replace 85 million jobs by 2025, but in the same report, they say it will also generate 97 million new jobs too. This means we are going to create 12 million new jobs with the rise of AI.
source

I hope these statements have cleared your doubts about AI. And believe me, AI might have destroyed the constructive reasoning of some students but those who have progressive mindsets are using AI to increase their productivity. You tell me, if you can easily find an error and correct it using AI then why would you spend a hell lot of time on AI?

And as a content writer, I also thought that AI would replace us, but not, people still need content writers and they also hire people to write AI content for them. This means, people can make AI content but it needs proofreading which can not be done by every person. Only those who have the skills can do it.

Lightning network is good with small amount of BTC
The only thing I do not like about AI is the lack of privacy that AI user are having.

If it is about people's job and you are thinking AI will replace human, I do not think that will be possible. People are also needed to operate AI. I can only see how AI will provide more jobs.

In my work, I do not use AI for now.

The future for AI is promising, and it will occupy some job positions in our economy. So in the future, there will be a new category of job where people can use AI in a professional way. I do not think using AI is bad if it can provide authentic data that can speed up our working force. There is some negative impact on our society that can be alarming after a few days. The development of creativity and creative thinking in the human mind will be less important because people will try to use AI for that. Our society will be so heavily dependent on AI that certain skills will fade away from human nature and AI will replace them.
