I have come to notice that gambling stories play a great role in determining if a gambler will reduce his gambling, go more aggressive in terms of the amount used in gambling or even quite gambling momentarily.
That kind of scenario happens temporarily but not permanent, it is just at the time you see or heard that a gambler lost huge amount of money then you have that nostalgic feeling to slow down on your bankroll because you don't want to experience that too but after awhile in the game, that fear goes off and you continue your normal bankroll staking. It is just like when a driver on a high way comes in contact with accident car, he is likely to slow down, feel bad for some time because he would as a human reflect on it assuming he was the one on the accident scene and then sooner than later, he would continue on his speed pace. Therefore,it is like gambling too. When you see a gambler who lost huge you may not want to take the amount of risk he took at the point but later your appetite for risk will increase again. So there is always the fear factor.
