Life, Love and Laughter...
It's not very easy to do if most ordinary folks find it hard to understand.

Just tell them bitcoin is money and 1 bitcoin is worth $500 dollars...  Grin Grin Grin

Then you sell them 1 BTC, then buy back at Bitstamp for 430+.  Good plan.  Grin

Indeed , it's really not that easy to do  . I tried hard but it wasn't successful what I did is that I spoke about it to some of my family members  and frinendn but well .. they found bitcoin interesting but they never tried to know more about it and try it .
Other then that  I didn't do anything , I mean what could a teenager actually do to help something big as bitcoin to spread more ? probably nothing .

I've helped by advertising it i guess. I've spread the word about bitcoin to a lot of people. i did a presentation for my class last year about bitcoin.

I'm trying to do it. Talking with friends about what is, how you can buy it, and how to spend bitcoins. And now talking with a collectionist about bitcoin, he like the physical coins that i have, and asked me what is bitcoin. He didn't know anything about, and now he is interested about bitcoins and could be that in some weeks he join onto this world.

only merchant can really spread and increase the adoption, average joe or bitcoin savy random guy can not do really anithing, besides spreading the info to his friends, which is not really helping adoption on global scale too much

merchants should be encourage in some way to accept bitcoin, maybe if they see the price increase they will add bitcoin, or they are simply waiting for more regulation

I would like to think that I have helped in many different ways. For starters, I have used my bitcoins for purchases. This of course spreads the adoption as the stores see that it is worth taking bitcoin payments in. I have discussed with and educated multiple people about bitcoin in real life. Lastly, I have created website in my own language which explains bitcoin and helps newcomers all the way from choosing wallet and earning their first coins.

ive helped business start ups,
ive helped established businesses get involved
ive introduced alot of people to bitcoin
ive helped people get jobs in the bitcoin economy
ive helped people avoid cons/scams involving bitcoin
ive helped people understand bitcoin
ive handed out lots of bitcoin to people(litecoin too)

but now i think i/we all need to concentrate on bitcoins usefulness before really pushing random people to get involved.
helping businesses BEFORE helping 'average joe' will make the later 'average joe' helping alot easier when the time is right

Well I've told my mom about it once and she didn't really care for it. Up until she heard something about bitcoin on the news.
That's when she became interested and asked me for more information on what it is exactly.

I think starting a conversation with someone around would do a lot. You may never know if they are interested in it. I've met people around me who were looking for a way to make money without much hassle. They have found out about bitcoin and that's what they do now.

I've done this as well, sometimes it works out to just talk about it but sometimes people are just not interested or they don't understand the concept of what bitcoin is or what it stands for.
