We know, no one here can see what the future can bring. But since we are here to predict and to make wild educate guess, so I don't think there's something wrong with it. You just have to see those early adopters of crypto, do they really thought that the bitcoin could really touch $19k two years ago? So this is just game and a journey, it's not how you start but how to ended the game.

Bitcoin Cash last all time high is almost $4k, so that's like 90% down of it's current price. So in order to get to that level again, altcoin market should rally, but at this point I don't see it happening. So short term I would say that the price could only go as high as $500.

I don't see any instances that could push BCH into surprising pricing instead, it keeps as is.
People are saying before that this coin will be surpassing BTC but it turns into a wrong direction leaving too far from Bitcoin at reach. This will show that BCH can't be at the high level as what BTC can do. It will remain from its current position until then.

Actually, initially, the question was about Bitcoin Cash byt about BTC. However, it is evident that the price of this token depends on the main cryptocurrency. I would not completely agree with this statement of yours, I don’t think altcoins has ever moved approximately in the same direction, when bitcoin is the dominance, altcoins usually decline so much in value, but the only time that altcoins do surge is when bitcoin becomes stable temporarily, it usually does not move while altcoins increase then.

Most of the altcoins that we see increase right now are just the top coins, and they are being controlled directly by bitcoin movement, they increases when bitcoin increases and they decreases when bitcoin decreases, their connection still cannot be explained, but these few coins increasing cannot completely be the judge for the rest. So if we think because the few top coins are increasing, alts are increasing, kindly check alts below the top 100 and see their performance.

Bitcoin cash wants to dethrone bitcoin. This is the only fork I have seen that wanted to be the top coins. Well, they are hyped already by the people. They don't need anymore a promotion. Nobody knows this for sure. But I can tell you that I've seen worse coins gain in value past the point of rationality, so it's quite possible that BCH could go much higher. Unlike some of the shittier coins on the market, it actually has a community behind it and I've also seen some merchants accepting it for payment. That said, I'm not a big fan of it and wouldn't buy it.

I might be betraying the fact that I have no life, but I have claimed some from the moonbit faucets, but it isn't much.

Seems like all the crypto investment money is going into bitcoin right now, and alts are suffering because of it. If history has anything to say about it, I'm expecting alts to rebound at some point and BCH will probably be one of them. So who knows. It could be a great time to buy it.
