currently everybody is talking about anonymous coins everywhere you look, it should only be remotely related to cryptocurrencies and you see a topic there talking about anonymous coins. even litecoin has released an statement that they are implementing some new feature to add the ability to have anonymous transactions with more privacy.

in other words anon coins are the new hot topic so even if they don't have a GUI (a user friendly one) they are going to continue on rising for the foreseeable future.

At this rate something like coinjoin + confidential transactions will be ready before any of the anonymous coins get a proper GUI. Segwit is comming soon so if the alts want to compete against bitcoin they better hurry.

Only having confidential transaction is pretty useless from a fungibility and privacy standpoint unfortunately. Much more effort needs to made for a currency to be fully private. Privacy must be by default otherwise the anonymity set for your currency is quite low. This category of cryptocurrencies excites me so I look forward to future progress Wink

Focusing on price is not particularly valuable for the coin. If you are only interested in speculation and making a quick buck that is fine, but we are trying to change the world right? Monero and other anon coins are valuable because they stop prying eyes from invading your privacy. Let's focus on the importance of these qualities and celebrate later Wink

I do not think the release their GUI will affect the price that much. It will for sure help make the coin easier to use bringing in more users but that is it. The price rise would depend on how much the whales pump it and how many ordinary people join in with the ongoing hype.

Amen.  Price is made by the trading of exchange IOU that have the same name as the crypto currency.  Most exchanges have graphical interfaces, so most of the trading is already done using graphical interfaces.  Very few people influencing the market price use real block chain interaction.  Block chains essentially serve as ways to transact coins between exchanges and to convert them into web IOU there.

Yes, there are a few people using crypto for real, like on DNM, but that doesn't have much influence on market cap.

All anyone can talk about is the confidential transaction ability of XMR, WBB V5, BTS Stealth Transactions, Zero-cash etc, and none of them even have a GUI yet.

The question is, how high will confidential transaction coins fly once their GUI applications come out?

AND WHICH WILL BE RELEASED FIRST?

WBB aka WILD PUSSY COIN will be the mother of all pumps once the whales realize that this is a coin that can LEGITIMATELY be pumped to the moon.

Ummm, alrighty then LOL.  In a sense you are actually correct ha. Cheesy

Whales one aspect when they show, but they will prob time it for when the dev brings about his ACTUAL biz contracts in (soon) Smiley

there are a lot of lies going around  about SDC please do your own research.
Yes we had a bug and it was fixed promptly but transactions were still protected by shadowcash’s stealth addresses
I have been with project for 2 years and personally donated to them i would not do so if i did not trust them.

the lead developer Rhyno even revealed his identity in full

https://www.cryptocoinsnews.com/shadowcoin-lead-developer-rynomster-shadows/

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YUuk3W4tSzo interview with rhino.

The team are very real, very loyal to their community and have a great vision that they pursue with a fierce passion.
If there is anything i have learnt from spending over 2 years with this community.
Its that the team take users security and privacy very seriously and are generally pissed off about the Orwellian society that we are quickly becoming as am I.
I know when the Bug was found in shadowcash it was a real kick in the guts to them and they felt like they had let us all down, that shows they actually care about the community.
this isn’t about money for them thats why for 2 years they have developed with almost no funding, SDC had no IPO/ICOs Premine Instamine the dev hold little coins and thats a fact.
they do this because they believe in it and thats why i stick with them for so long.

Our new GUI 2.0 with end to end encrypted chat/group chat soon decentralised market much more.

Anonymous crypto-coins like Monero/ZCash have no "official GUIs" but some unofficial ones have been made. Monero has had at least two desktop GUIs:
https://forum.getmonero.org/20/general-discussion/166/lightwallet-a-lightweight-monero-gui-account-manager
https://github.com/kripod/MoneroGui.Net (discontinued)
So anyone who truly needs a Monero GUI can just "get one"...

If a particular crypto-currency is truly important, someone will make a GUI for it. Take the case of ZCash for instance:

ZCash has not been released yet, but some GUIs are being made for it, like:
https://github.com/vaklinov/zcash-swing-wallet-ui - quote: Graphical user interface (GUI) wrapper for the ZCash command line tools
This program is intended to make it easy to work with the ZCash client tools by providing a Graphical User Interface (GUI) that acts as a wrapper and presents the information in a user-friendly manner.

I think this is just the beginning, ZCash will have other GUIs and Web wallets too...

We could be waiting a while for all these clones of the Bytecoin scam codebase to get their cryptonohope protocol shit together.

and none of them even have a GUI yet.

If GUI is important then why not just use DigitalNote or Bytecoin?

I wouldn't have thought the lack of GUI is a huge handicap if you absolutely want to use an anon currency - the recent rise of Monero transactions and cap is a good indication of that.

Although Monero doesn't have an official GUI, it does have a secure web wallet: mymonero.com  It's secure because your private keys are never on the server side. Still, as with anything web-based, it's best practice to keep only immediate spending money on web wallets.

Zcash will probably have a GUI first, but what good is a GUI if the actual currency requires you to trust the owners (instead of just math)?

https://moneroforcash.com/monero-vs-dash-vs-zcash-vs-bitcoinmixers.php

The Command Line Interface (CLI) wallet for Monero (simplewallet) is not hard to use. There are plenty of tutorials on how to set it up and use it (google), but there is always mymonero.com.

Yeah I never understood the point of zerocoin at all. Who in the hell is going to trust a coin that generates a master key that the owners own and this means they have access to everything ever, and you have to trust that they destroy them? This is fucking retarded. Anyone trusting such a technology is out of their mind. Monero remains the best anonymous coin.

WBB is aiming for a lot more than 'just anon' but I don't know if it could be considered for anon then.
Either way they are going to the moon on their own merits and upcoming ACTUALY business contracts coming soon. Smiley

My point is that it shouldn't make a difference.  My idea is that if having a gui makes a difference for you using monero, then you have not sufficient mileage in computing to have even the basics of your OPSEC right, and you shouldn't be toying with anon coins (unless the anon part is not important to you, in which case monero shouldn't make a difference).  Of course a gui is fancier and nicer to use, but it shouldn't be a *break point* in using it.  If it is, then you should first pump up your easiness with computing before trying to do "anon" stuff.

It looks rather stupid to me that they have no GUI. I think the value of those coins is extremely thin air Smiley

btw you forgot to add the option 0.1x
