Well our local FBI here is somewhat equipped with cyber crimes and we they have a dedicated unit to handle all cyber crimes, but I'm not sure if they have enough knowledge to deal with crypto or if they know how to track them out because its supposed to be (psuedo) anonymous.

Although the've caught one of the biggest ponzis in our country with regards to bitcoin because the person has been identified by the victims. But in cases criminals used social media (fake) and scam, it will be very difficult task for them.

Same here. Some crypto scammers were already caught in my country and most of them are those running ponzi schemes where investors reported their illegal business. I think, without those investors reporting them, those scammers won't be caught. The police system in my country is I can say not really equip with high end gadgets or technology to combat those crypto scammers. Because sometimes they don't even know where to start.

In my country, I see many sites that are Bitcoin ponzi and scams. These thrive because the police put in little effort in tacking them. I like the awareness being created by the Indian police. What is the awareness level of law enforcement about crypto in your country? If All Police Officers are Trained in Crypto... https://www.cryptoinfowatch.com/indian-police-train-officers-on-cryptocurrency/

In our country, most of the police have no knowledge about crypto currencies. What they know only are ponzi schemes and bitcoin trading scams, they don't know more about crypto currencies.

Because in here, if we talk about bitcoin most of the mindset of the police and other victims of bitcoins trading scams. Bitcoin is a type is a type of scam, they didn't even bother digging what is bitcoin that is why they easily fall to the hands of the scammers.

in almost every country there is a police division that deals with internet related crimes
in Russia it is called unit K , for example , in some other countries there are subdivisions that are dealing with information and are very tech savy
they recruit personnel that know their stuff , many of them ( especially in the countries like the US ) are working for the government after having been caught for cyber related crimes
in Northern Korea hackers and money they get is a part of the GDP and I'm not kidding - they are employed by the government and the proceeds from their attacks are going into the budget
as for the crypto and how our police is equipped to deal with it , I would say if you call them and tell them you had bitcoins stolen
you'd have hard time proving anything since crypto is not legal tender or even defined as asset here , technically , they will open a case since they are obliged to react
but I would not pinch my hopes on anything coming out of it

in my country all the police are busy with their own work, they don't seem to want bitcoin, is it possible because they don't know yet, need someone to explain it, yes at least that's what I see, I see the police in my country are neutral and not too rigid with bitcoin .. !!

In the United States of America the policy for cryptocurrencies is pretty strict. There happens to be several governmental organizations that exist to uphold the law within the financial sector. When dealing with assets like cryptocurrency, the sector falls into one of many areas of law. The CFTC or (The Commodities Futures Trading Commission) is there to regulate commodities, & Futures.
Then there is the SEC (The Securities Exchange Commission), which regulates securities laws.
Last but definitely not least is the IRS ( Imternal Revenue Service), they regulate tax. So as you can see, there are many regulatory bodies in existence.
There are many regulatory bodies over looking the market and we had some high profile arrests in the dark web too when the criminals were foolish enough to use bitcoin to do illegal trade thinking they are safe and when you are foolish enough to do such activities you are bound to get caught and the authorities have confiscated and auctioned bitcoin in the past.

I dont think they have much knowledge about it.
Sure, there are also ponzi schemes in my country which used bitcoin as means of payment but still they do not understand how it happens.
Sometimes they tend to put the blame in bitcoin. That is already one reason why I think they don't understand what crypto currency is.
The media writers who put it in news have the same kind of idea. Not much of a knowledge to them.

I think law enforcer did not focus on crimes related to Bitcoin because this is not yet legalized in my country and I think it will need to fully legalize first before authority will study about that cases and take seriously in seizing Bitcoin and other crypto crimes. As of now, we have our own responsibility not to fall into one of the victims. Just always be careful because the authority did not have the knowledge yet in solving crimes about bitcoin incidents.
here in us they informed that some of the scammers nowadays are using the word "bitcoin" in order for them to fool many people, we all know that bitcoin ranging $7000-$9000 monthly they using this figure like, when people want an easy money for 30 days they will get double of it, many people know this tactic and it has been already shown in mainstream media, they know bitcoin but not in a good way too bad.

I am pretty sure if I went to my native country and asked the police about what is a Cryptocurrency they would ask me back .
Is the amount of information they have on cryptocurrencies.
It's rare for someone normal on the street to even have heard about Bitcoins because most people are busy in doing the jobs 9-5 and then their everyday things they rarely have the chance to sit back relax and to know about something out of the box .

even in my country there is a cyber crime force and its not really only for crypto related only issue
but the good thing is you can still complain but in my opinion solving the issue will be challenging for them
because they can only solve the issue if the scammer is within the country
its more better if we will have a worldwide crypto crime group so they can pass the issue if it is not within their country

Our Policemen can’t stop people from owning or transacting bitcoin because it is not illegal and our government is not that strict when it comes to bitcoin. Policemen can only do their job if someone is filling a case against bitcoin and that is too impossible to happen not unless people scam the other people using bitcoin and go to the court to make this case formal and take the legal actions.

its normal for the police to not take full action because those police were only built not for the crypto but police jobs are purely for your own local community  . police are not special hackers or have a specialty in the internet stuffs .  i think all they can do is to track the wallet and possibly link it to the other . if they got lucky they can find the real owner or the criminal  . but i agree on your last opinion  . better if police can start learning the curve of cryptos so that they can improve thier perfrormance to help people that have issues on thier crypto

The last time the news about a fake bitcoin ponzi investment was revealed by the local police in my country. There are many people who are caught unfortunately they are caught after they successfully scaming many investors, and the participants investment value was fantastic.
This happens because of a lack of understanding of the correct way of investing, they invest using a third party and do not invest using a personal wallet, Whereas in my country investing in cryptocurrencies is legal.
I really appreciate the work of the police in dismantling this Ponzi Bitcoin Investment Syndicate.

To curb cryptocurrency Ponzi and scams police cybercrime units need to be well trained. In my country police is struggling to curb the traditional crimes, expecting them to crack down on crypto scam site will be like living in a fools paradise. In my opinion, every crypto community member should work hard to create awareness about such scams.
If the police is not yet been informed that well, the existing communities needs to help them in order to bring awareness to the society, many
scam projects like this inside crypto needs full support from people who have a broad knowledge about it. Helping not only the police but also
the entire crypto communities to be well aware of scam businesses like this.

The awareness level of law enforcement about crypto in your country is not too high as the crypto is not yet become legal in here. I think most of the police here don't know about crypto and only ordinary people who know crypto. Maybe if my government approves crypto as to be the new payment method, that will make them learn more so they can understand what the crypto is. Besides that, I think many of them will catch people who use crypto for illegal things because so far, the police are caught people for money laundering.

So far, the mass adoption of crypto here in country is rapidly increasing and I can tell the Police officer already know about cryptocurrency, but so far now, we don't have any law yet regarding crypto crimes, so they are having hard time to solved the cases of those victims of scams such as 'hyip and any other type of ponzi scheme, but still, they managed to file a case to other scammers by filing money laundering etc.

I think my country has one of the most incompetent cyber-security teams a European country could have. Cronyism and the age-old problem of politicians putting their favorite people in the public sector has made for some of the most useless police force in the EU in my opinion. Greece is a peaceful country thankfully, but our police is lazy and know close to nothing about policing standards, citizen rights and generally their job. That's why they stay away from enforcement as much as possible in my experience.

This is an attractive news that India police is being trained on cryptocurrency but in actual there is no indian police, police is identified by states in Indian and state governments have full control over Police department.Center govt can suggest something to state govts. but its up to state govts if they implement it or not. In actual scenario there is high corruption in police deptt all over the country. Lets see if something good comes out of it.
