Wich script are you using?

Would you pay to solve your problem?

Are you selling a custom script you made? How much are you selling it for, and how does it prevent bots?

Im measuring the market before commiting.

I have 5 measures against bots, and am building more as we speak. But thinking on how much to charge for a better solution than just captcha.

Are these new measures you created yourself, or are they old measures? Sounds interesting, I'd like to know more.

I differ payments...it is the best way to avoid bots...
In the meantime you put randomly antibot in your script and the bots are taken (lol)
At the end you can pay better honnest users and so every one is happy...

I think kicking off bots is very hard nowadays.. bots are getting very strong and can easily break all security on faucet. all captcha services got hacked from them. captcha services not giving protection to faucets.

Well, not every captcha. The new reCaptcha with the images ("select all street names") is still safe.
And stuff like "put the food in the fridge".

Only way to get around them, is to use a captcha service. powered by humans. which cost money. a lot.
that kill every attempt to make money with faucets using bots.

The possibilities of the bots are overestimated.
Yeah, reCaptcha V2 is the best but its not secure 100% .

sigh...

OK, I'll elaborate.

1. if you don't understand how networks work, if you can't write your own bot, if you're new to programming, please don't attempt to run your own faucet. I mean, by all means, do it, bots needs to feed!

2. the whole point of a bot is that it is indistinguishable from a human being. THAT'S THE WHOLE FREAKING POINT.

to understand point 2 better, watch the movie Blade Runner.

I will re-iterate, because people are asking very naive questions here. You can't "block Ukranian bots, but keep Ukranian people". You can keep both or ban both but not selectively, BECAUSE THERE'S NO WAY TO TELL THEM APART.

3. you can however detect whole networks of bots, because they tend to refer each other.

if you have a spike in a referral chain (and each member is claiming 24/7/upto your timer limit), THEN you're onto something.

Funcap has been asking for about $1000/month for their service.

w Shocked w
it's high amount just for captcha service. better for you to decrease the reward of referal system. im sure it's work for make bot get out.

checking visitor's ip in my hosting and referral reward that user get , i know how pattern that people try to cheating some faucet with refferal reward if i found something unusual, i will hold payment for the address.
but it will be rather difficult if someone use VPN that not detected as a proxy, and some VPN services have these features

checking all these by manual is really hard.  Roll Eyes you need to find more specific secure.
it's hard but we can't keep our faucet to get robbed by someone that using bot or use proxy, TOR , etc , especially in my country some provider give dynamic ip and people can change their ip easily only with disconnect their modem. when income from ads network site not comparable with  what we spent for faucet, everything must be fixed

Don't use solvemedia captchas find something like funcaptcha. With images. It's harder for bots to solve it. Wink

Earlier I used funcaptcha and it's blocked a lot of bots but for now they are asking very big money for their service so not using anymore.

i always set payment manually to prevent something like people that use bot, TOR, proxy and etc. This method may take time but at least someone can't get money without effort easily
By this method how can you to know the different between bot, tor, proxy etc... and  a regular user?

Its better to lower referral commission.

Not necessarily, referral commission can be a good thing, as it encourages people to promote your faucet. The important thing is to find a way to prevent bots, which is difficult and probably the hardest part of being a faucet owner.
