I feel like unless another coin comes out with such good new features that it's like discovering bitcoin all over again it won't be replaced.

Well, huge and power-hungry bitcoin mining centers like this one http://imgur.com/a/CcIhX offers a very visual proof of the relevance of the cheaper and more secure proof-of-stake system.

2yrs max left for bitcoin to stay so dominant... perhaps over-taken before that.

2 years is a bit soon... Bitcoin does have a really big start, and I think it's unlikely that any clone of it will ever overtake it. That leaves Nxt and a few other very new currencies that need a lot of developing.

There's no reason to only have one crypto that has the majority of all cryptocurrencies' market cap. They all have different features and appeal to different communities, and it's very easy to trade between any of them. So while I don't think any single coin will overtake Bitcoin, I believe that the total market cap of crypto-currencies will be more evenly distributed in the future.

Never. Bitcoin dies and altcoins die.
Nope. Cryptocurrencies are addictive, seriously. Even if the promises of getting x100 on the initial investment dies off, there's no way I'll sell my cryptos for fiat - also, they have too many advantages to die on their own, and their decentralized nature makes them pretty much impossible to kill (even more so for PoS coins, for which a 51% attack would require 51% of all coins).

Never. Bitcoin dies and altcoins die.

nah more exchanges will get fiat on there, then fiat markets for other main cryptos.

bitcoin is great but it will not be at the helm forever, you can take that to the bank.

If it is number 1 in 5 years i will be very shocked.

too much of an advantage on so many levels for bitcoin to be overtaken. I don't think any altcoin will succeed in doing it ever.

Watch the trading of things like LTC/BTC.  They all look bear or break-even with lots of noise to me.  Nothing has any bullish trend against BTC.

Presuming that at some stage bitcoin will be overtaken by another crypto, how soon at the earliest could this happen?
