I'm relatively new in the space. I started getting involved right as the China crash happened in early September. Unfortunately I didn't buy my first bitcoin at that time. It took me a week or two to buy when I saw how quickly we bounced back from that crash. Now I'm very interested in crypto and everything that goes with it.

Too bad that you missed the $3000 price of bitcoin because of China banning the ICO but just have patience brother, just wait for the price correction after the hard fork but don't expect to see the price in that such amount but at least  you be able to add some as the rally will continue.
Anyway, I just entered crypto world at the last quarter of 2016 and so far me experience here is an upside down feeling yet more thrilled.

I've been in the crypto market for more than 6 months. I experienced some loss but it's fine because I always learn a valuable lessons from my mistakes. So far, so good and my I gain BTC.03per month. I feel impatient sometimes because my target is 1 btc per month.

I have been into crypto market since last 2 years but at that time I was not aware about any altcoins as I was very much interested only in earning bitcoins from signature campaign but later on when I noticed that there is good money in altcoin market I started to learn and do research on various coins and now I am earning decent income from altcoin trading.

As long as my profile age not my rank.

I wasn't actively joining in discussions in 2013 but I did a fair amount of reading.  I never would of dreamed Bitcoin would make it this far.

Only this summer did I decide to really be involved in the community.  It was a fun summer and I am still here.  I am not real sure what im doing or where im going with my hobby but its been a blast so far.

Active since feb 2013 (mining ) and knew about btc since 2011 but took no action.
I have zero btc... all wasted them on now useless alts and buying some silver. No regret it was fun.

Just curious about the people on this forum. There seem to be a lot of newbies around, like myself. So tell me: how long have you been in the crypto market?

A couple of months in this forum and alt coins with 2 accounts but in crypto mining Bitcoin is already almost a year.

i have been approximately 3 years and even more. But the duration or time that you have come into being part of cryptocurrency is not important,
it is important to evaluate this time well and intelligently. i know some people who get very good profits in a short time.

I am so late joining this game  Cry
But better late than never eh Wink
I think it doesn't matter a lot. Newbie can make an awesome investment, whereas an experienced trader can make huge mistakes. Too much depends on luck here.
Only one month, and lesson learned: do not trade alt coins too much!
Yeah, I guess trading isn't something working out well, especially lately. I remember this awesome time before last summer when most of coins kept growing and it was really easy to invest and get some profit. After Chinese bans a lot of things changed including huge drops in prices of almost all altcoins. Even though they are green on coinmarketcap mostly, they didn't actually recover yet.

I'm into the crypto market for more than 2 years but there I was scammed before so I decided to quit and when I saw the value of Bitcoin last year, I was shocked of its growth so I decided to give it a try again but this time, I learned from my mistakes. As for your observations about the numbers of newbie accounts, I think most of them are just dummy accounts of other members here.

Ouch, getting scammed is a bummer. I was into Bitcoin 2 years ago, then I found out that the Bitcoin that I earned was way too small, I got tired of solving up advertisements and such so I stopped. Later this year, I found out the reason why I only earned small amounts of Bitcoins in the past, and the reason is because I was wasting my time on faucets. But, thankfully, I was able to get to know cryptocurrencies and still learning things about it until now, my estimated time in entering the crypto market would be 5 months.

I knew about cryptocurrencies since more than 2 years especially Bitcoin, Litecoin and Dogecoin but never made any kind of trading or investing till this year. I was just accepting them as a payment method for my service. If I watch charts now I feel very sad! I should have put atleast $100 in the top 10 coins last year. But anyway there is no way to return to the past again!
