The only reason signature campaigns even run is because signature campaigns generate traffic to a specific website, and that usually results in that said site making profit if the redirected user spends money on that site. As long as bitcointalk stays where it is in terms of traffic or even expands, expect campaigns to continue to run. Some campaigns spend over 1 BTC per week- quite a commitment, and it shows just how effective a campaign can be if the members post as much as they are supposed to.

Since the forum does not use ad networks I think that it is a great opportunity for companies to advertise here.

Besides the advertisement on forum managed by theymos we can see how much visitors has the forum https://bitcointalk.org/adrotate.php?adstats

I'm not sure how the signatures will look like in the new forum but it's good to not complicated the UI/UX because as it is now it is great.

There are campaigns wherein the time frame is indicated on the thread and there are also campaigns which don't have the time frame. The OP will just announce if the campaign will be pause for a while or will be permanently close.
But the point is, how long businesses will need signature campaign for promoting their business and for using it to stay competitive with their businesses.

It means as long as signature campaigns are supporting business to find new customers, we can assume signature campaigns will stay here by providing this forum members the opportunity of earning by advertising their sponsors.

I feel that it is time for us to discuss about this matter. How long do you people thinks that Bitcointalk signature campaigns will last?

Bitcoin will be hitting its peak and probably surpass it very soon looking at the current rate. Which means that more people will be joining us in investing Bitcoin. This mean that there will be a huge changes in the signature campaigns community.

I feel that the number of signature campaigns will be greatly reduced once Bitcoin reaches a new height because it is much efficient to just start a advertisement campaign on popular AD networks like A-ads and MellowAds or even Google Adsense.
No.Signature campaigns will keep running like they used to without any effect of bitcoin price. Most campaigns will reduce the rates of payment but they will continue to run as their business depends on bitcoin and this forum is a great source of bitcoin related traffic
Yes that's exactly what I feel. Everyone who knows about bitcoin is on this forum so this is the best place to advertise any bitcoin related service, but yes they can do advertising with ad works and others but that depends on how much they are planning to spend on advertising on bctalk it doesn't take a lot of budget to hold a campaign.

I agree with you here. This forum is pretty much THE bitcoin forum, there may be others but they will never be the original. Most enthusiasts come here, as well as people new to the technology.

First, I do not think BTC will reach bonanza any time soon. I ve been listening to this for years and guess what, still nothing.

Second, even if the price would go up, sig campaign manager would accommodate and reduce rewards payable in BTC to match BTC price.

Third, more people entering Bitcoin market means larger market for products we all promote by being parts of sig campaigns.

So, no problem there.

That depends on each signature campaign itself, how the managers and business owners are happy with it and the results they get. Of course another factor is how much money they have and are willing to spend for campaigns. As long they have use of it they will finance it. At least I think so.
Since I'm involved in one hope it will last it's good source of extra income, it's fun and it makes you to be very active on forum which is also good for learning stuff and communicating.

Signature campaigns are holding a decent amount of members on this forum , ending them just because we switched to another forum software wouldn't make much sense and will make a lot of users switching to forum.bitcoin.com that is desperately looking for members at the moment.
Why would you jump to the conclusion that switching to the new forum will be the end of campaigns ? To my knowledge, theymos already mentioned that Signature Campaigns is more just an advertisement,it has become a part of bitcoin culture [IIRC] and no they wouldn't end it in the new forum.Of course,if it ever happens,a new forum will easily take over that is if they have potential.

I think they will last for a pretty long time, as while AD networks are effective, a lot of the time you would be advertising to faucet users with no intent to use your site, if it's a gambling site or a marketplace site. Signature campaigns are a good way to promote, and also to get the people who promote for you to know about your site and use it.

Signature campaigns will last as long as the advertising for them is paying off.
As far as i know we still don't know if the signature campaigns will continue to the new forum (whenever that happens) they may decide to end them for good who knows.
If signature campaigns ended then we would also see a drop in account sales which would be a good effect of ending them.

...And it is mean signature campaign services will be survive for long time on this forum except it is be banned by admin at here.

I see no reason why Admin will ban signature campaigns - this is one of the main things keeping this forum alive.

Lots of people join for the money, they post and the forum remains active.

Admin NEEDS this forum posters...

Both signature campaigns and bitcointalk forum has a mutual benefit , they are having a benefit to each other . Signature campaigns are the reason why bitcointalk forum is still alive and bitcointalk forum is the way promote and advertise those websites or companies who are operating a signature campaigns .

I agree that both have mutual benefit, but sometimes signature campaign is abused.  this is also one of the reason why some of the signature campaign limits post and at the same time put the no burst post in a single day rule.
Anyway, I think the life of Signature Campaign in this forum depend on the admin of this forum.  They have the rights and the power to ban or let the signature campaign continue on this forum.

Depends on their budget really, one thing seems most of them fail to understand is the fact that signature campaign only works if it is wide spread throughout the whole forums and in long period of time which apparently yobit and 1 or 2 other campaigns could grasp it and be smart.
That comes with its own cost : - Copious Amount Of Spam.

many think that people stop on every and each signature and click on them and then follow them but they never get it that their advertisement in signatures must be seen repeatedly and regularly until it hacks into the minds of people and they get used to it and when someday someone needed something related to a specific ad in sigs easily can recall the numerous times he or she saw such service or announcement.
Honestly, signature campaigns doesn't really have anything to do with people clicking the signatures links or not. That would give them traffic, which could be bought using other methods for much cheaper. What you're missing out on is the fact advertising in bitcoin-talk gives them potential buyers/service users.

And when they fail to take a note on my statement above they'll just run out of funds and get cold feet.

We need not to be just hoping like campaigns will last for a long time but, as long as these campaigns are effective for a business we can be 100% sure that signature campaigns here will last for ever. In other words, as long as this forum is being considered as the prime resource for crypto currency related information, people will be active here so signature campaign also will be living here.
a
Yes, aslong as the campaign is effective, meaning the sites owner is in good profit position. As long as it is still attracts clients ,traffic and players. Once the gains or profit dries up, he has no option but to stop or redesigned his campaign.

I read posts and I don't know why do you people think that bitcoin's price rise up will be the reason of signature campaign's ends? They will reduce payment rates in bitcoin and that will be solution.
Also everything depends on this forum's Staff, if they want they will end signature campaigns by removing some opportunity from bbcodes. Also the reason why signature campaigns are best in this forum is that to promote your product here is much better than using other advertising networks (I don't mean adsense). Here are people who are interested in using bitcoin, so imagine when you want sell hair products, which website will you choose for advertising? Movie's website or Beauty's? Of course Beauty and same situation is here and also this website has big traffic and that's also main reason for advertising.

I guess the signature campaign ends when the campaign manager or the one who own the running sites reaches their quota of their sites, example they need a visitors in their sites for at least 10000 for the whole month then they will make a rules in their campaign that they members need to visit their sites every now and then, one more, if they have quota in new members of their sites like sign up first in their site before earning from them.
That is only my own assumption on signature campaign. Correct me if I am wrong about it.
But the best answer for bitcoin signature campaign last? I guess only the campaign manager can answer your queries regarding that, because they are the one who knows when it last.
