In Cryptocoins I Trust

I only own one cryptocurrency... Bitshares.

Within Bitshares I own separate derivatives (called SmartAssets) which are equal to the value of Bitcoin, Gold, and Silver. Along with some main chain Bitshares tokens for when the decentralized exchange picks up steam and value grows.

Try out the new Bitshares 2.0 wallet here (you will not be disappointed): https://bitshares.openledger.info/#/

I plan to expand soon into some riskier plays such as a CryptoNote coin, decentralized programming language coin (ETH), data storage coin (Maidsafe/StorjX), and more. I will only invest in cryptocurrencies that are innovative and provide useful services or features.

Current I only play with 2 coins, Clam and BTC. Clam has large fluctuations and with some patience I was able to make a small percentage. But as with many other altcoins, I believe it is untimately doomed and BTC will rise within 1 year.

I am holding a very huge amount of alt coins, for a chance to make some profit someday, but from the ones that I'm currently holding, I think Ethereum, Maidsafecoin and Bitshares would be the most successful ones in the future.

When bitcoin is still in it's baby-phase and can't even be considered fully adopted to the general public by any sense of the definition I personally find it foolish to hold any alt-coin(s) long-term.
However I'm sure this is what many people claimed about Bitcoin, but I just can't see any alt-coin becoming more valuable than bitcoin seeing as they're literally called ALT-coins.. Because they're not in the spotlight.

That being said, I know for a fact that a lot of people have made a lot of money from alt-coins, but it's just not for me at this time.

I don't own any alt-coins, but I did attempt to get into DOGE-coin at one point in time.

Now I have only Solarcoins. Two years back from now, I had Dogecoin, Worldcoin and some other that I used to mine with my poor PC, but then some of the coins died while other became too hard to mine (GPU mining died) and I sold everything. So yea I have only Solarcoins now.

I'm holding around eight old coins listed on the top ten coinmarketcap and five new altcoins which I think eventually will become profitable.

If I were going to hold an "alt"coin it would have to a Cryptonote.  Ethereum has been tempting at times but the launch structure and the fact that it's too ahead of its time make it a no-go for me.  I might also hold Dogecoin or Nyan for the lulz.

So considering that for serious holdings it's either Bitcoin or Cryptonote: Just Monero and Aeon right now.  I think these two provide enough diversity that they can serve as the private blockchains for civilization.  I am also looking into Boolberry but not yet convinced.
