I hold approximately 15-20 coins, I think as there are many coins it is important to choose the best ones and hold coins as little as possible.
Around 40 I'd say, plus all the shitcoins from the airdrops
I used to have about 15 alts in my portfolio but I found it very hard to mantain that as crypto trading is not my primary job. Right now I have 6, hopefully will buy more very soon.
I'm not a big investor (500$) - I'm just doing it "for fun" and learning but:

- ADA
- WAVES
- PRL
- ELIX

I like ETH and ADA on your list and I'm still investing in 2 coin. But I think that with the $ 500 capital divided into so many coin, your profit will be very low. I think with a little money you should only monitor and invest in 2 to 3 coin only, that is reasonable amount so you can track and catch in time. - ETH

I hold only four coins for the moment, I can't really afford more, but I hope to win some by working on projects I think have a good potential.
I have only three altcoins in my portfolio and I think it is enough for me to gain profit and besides this is the only coin that I can afford to buy though.

Same as you OP I also have 12 altcoins at present and thinking of down sizing to around 5-6 coins and one of which is Bitcoin. Probably holding 30% of bitcoin and the rest would be my top other altcoins I am currently holding now so I can monitor each one of them.
Not many since I started a while ago collaborating in the growth of several and not all paid for my work. So today I'm just focused and dedicating my little time in DeepOnion
At present, i still holding 4 top coins Btc, Eth, Ltc, Bch for long term investment. I'm still buying and trading some others coins are value around $1-$3 such as xml, xrp, xas, cardano, since these coins still have opportunity become more success or failed in the progress itself.

It is better to investigate and invest in a couple of coins, than to choose many and let luck decide, it is your choice if you want to be the owner of your destiny 
I have 12 altcoin, mostly of them are from my twitter campaigns and all of them are new. Its been a great profit on it because most of them was paid when the market was really dump. Already 5 of them gains profit and hope to trade more altcoin. I'm planning to a lot some of my budget for day trade and a week trade to improve my portfolio.

I have 12 altcoins in my portfolio. I like all of them, but I am thinking about consolidating down to my 5 favorites.
I own 14 altcoin in my portofolio, most of them are new projects less than 1 year old so i will wait until 5 more months before deciding what will i hold and which one i will sell. I think it's not too many as long as you follow the project closely. If you can follow it anymore then you have too many alts in your portofolio. I have 12 altcoins in my portfolio. I’m a newbie.. but I bought 5 coin on september 2017, until now I have 15 bags on my portofolio. Including BTC, ETH, ETC, Waves. I hope my bags will made a huge profit on the futures.
I do not hold any coins ,because i am a newbie in cryptocurrency world.but i will buy ETH and riple in future.
I hold 80% of my assets in Ethereum and NEO. Here are 2 altcoin that I estimate that will grow best in this 2018 and future. Both of them have good technical background and community supporters, many ICO projects are developed on ETH and NEO platforms which is why I buy many ETH and NEO because I will use the money That is to invest in the upcoming ICO projects that I will join.

I only have a token spectre.ai (SXDT), the result of a bounty newsletter campaign. i heard token spectre.ai have potential in the future, i will wait high price.
