I keep quite alot of BTC value in proof of stake coins where the transaction processing is done by wallet holders and we all get a cut of the new blocks, roughly in proportion to holdings in the wallet.   Seems alot fairer to me and the transactions are often under a minute which is useful and less time consuming for paying for stuff.   Some might think thats risky but some POS coins have been around years and BTC isnt immune to doubts obviously.    I'm told I get like 5% interest, beats fiat.

Never go all FIAT unless you have to use it all on bills soon.  Saving when they set interest rates below inflation rates is a certain loss

I had 1 btc in my wallet but when price crossed $1200 I sold 0.5 btc so right now I have only 0.5 btc and will sell that only when price touches to $2k in future or else I am comfortable in holding it for a long time and now I am trying my best to get some bitcoins so that again I can reach to 1 btc level.
Just do not rely on the value alone as the value may fluctuate, I think it's better to focus on continuously saving bitcoin and never mind the price.
It gives you an advantage if you are earning bitcoin as it can already be considered as your investment, we all believe the future of bitcoin is great hence we should learn to be discipline and save as much as we can to benefit in the future as well.

So how about if people that hold around 100 btc? And then in next month it will be down? Let say if it drops $100 for each btc so the total he lost will be $10,000 which is really big amount for them though. And why you said it does not matter about the price? I don't think people will stay in their place and let their bitcoin value grow. They need to make some profit too everytime

He made a good decision to sold his coins for 1200$. It's good price and present situation it is a good profit. And holding remaining coins is a good idea but your expectation is too high. Yes, $2k for 1 BTC it is not easy and doesn't think within few months the price will reach your target. It will take huge time to reach your expectation. So do any business with your remaining coins and double your capital.

I have not really saved much because of my current rank as basically what I can do to get bitcoin is to earn it and since I cant trade neither do I know graphics or even some coding skills, I am left with the option of earning from signature campaigns which will take a long time to be high quantitatively. So currently I have about something lower than 0.01btc but soon I am sure I will go beyond that.

Just recently got into BTC; I have 2.5 saved up.
Plan on taking 25% of each of my paychecks and accumulating and seeing what will happen in 2017 or later in the year.

Thoughts? Ideas? Speculation? Advice? Tips?

 Huh
That's good for you,  congrats you have 2.5BTC. On my part not enough so far, but at least there is bitcoin which I saved on my wallet. And the 25% of my profit weekly in bitcoin I used to trade and doing it accumulatively, which I think it can grow quickly.

How many Bitcoin poeple have saved until now is useless to know. Specially as we live in different parts of the world. For exemple 1 BTC can be nothing for you but can be a lot for me. What i mean is for exemple if you make 2000$ per month with your job 100$ is nothing for you but depending from where i live, if i make 200$ per month then to compare; 100$ is a lot for me. It is only good to compare by saying for exemple "I have X months of work saved in Bitcoin" So it give you a clear image of how people are involved in bitcoin. This say, I can tell you I have 1000 Bitcoin bought in the early days or ect, you can't check so..

For a common man it's really a hard task to save bitcoin. As these days competence too have increased earning access is limited to signature campaign and gambling. Most of the time the earning will be enough to loss in gambling. So saving is quite low. Have around 0.1 btc in the wallet.

The competition is a very reasonable thing done by some people in the world, so also the bitcoin. So if someone wants to make a profit then it should be able to follow or winning the competition. There is no way the best thing to do in storing bitcoin except by investing. Because using their investment can benefit and certainly money that they will be very safe deposito.Never tempted by something only give temporary effects such as gambling.

I have save just a small amount of bitcoins ,i have sold my 2bitcoins before for emergency money,Now I want to save more bitcoins, but I do not have the extra money to buy, I only join signature campaign.

there are many methods to collect bitcoin for free, so no need to panic when you do not have the capital to invest in bitcoin. there are many people who use free methods and succes collect many bitcoin
Yes, just try out of the best methods like signature earnings, try the games and round sections, try some free competitions or maybe even try to get some free altcoins from the bounties and you might really accumulate big amount.

I have been earning these ways since sometime and they seem working, plus I am a bit of developer too so that adds to me earnings.

I only have 0.17 btc now I got from freelancing.
Awesome and when you earn money doing work is even better to save them as you won't feel like spending them.
I also have saved some bitcoins like 0.35 for now and I am not looking to save them for 50 years but at least till the next year because price as we all know price takes a new hike around that time and I would try to make that 0.35 bitcoins to around 1 bitcoins if possible.
As long as we have a good income we will be able to raise any amount we like, however we should ensure we know that saving bitcoin is a form of investment and as investment's nature it could succeed or fail. Also, it's important to have a specific goal in terms of amount and on how you will be able to achieve it, for me I have it from my job online as my income in my day job takes care of our daily expenses.

For now I haven't save bitcoin yet because I am always exchanging it to fiat cash then cashed out for my personal family needs. Well I really planned to save it for the future investments, particularly I wanted to be in trading soon for profitable future investments that is really sustainable for everyone of us.
Yes, the price has always surprised us in past and there is no reason why we would not save bitcoins in future too.

Knowing that more and more bitcoins are being mined each day and more and more people adopting them its quite easy to see that soon the worth of each bitcoins would be quite big, though I myself haven't saved many bitcoins.

If you haven't started to save bitcoins yet then you can start saving it from now as in future the price of bitcoins will be too high so if you don't have bitcoins at that time then you will be not making any profits and it will also not make you wealthy so better start saving.

to me currently i have a good amount of bitcoin saving in my online wallet. in which i mostly invest in trading alt coin. but in current days as the price of bitcoin is mostly expected to increase more and more therefore i like to save bitcoin and not to invest it anywhere else.

Well that's the right thing to do as holding bitcoin is also an investment which is safe in compare to investing it any where else where you have a fear of loosing money so hold it for descent time period and it will give you best results in future.

Right now I have less than 0.1 but that's because two days ago I exchanged BTC on my local currency bought me a new phone which I like very much. Hopefully I will be able to save in the future because I think it's a good thing to have some Bitcoins in your wallet.  Wink

Yes if you want to earn more money in future then you should always try to save as much bitcoins as possible as price will be on the top in future so at a moment I am not spending any portion of bitcoins and my main goal is to earn more profits in future so I don't think this is the right time to spend them.

You are very lucky to save them because whenever I save my bitcoins I just find a reason to spend them like gambling or I see some good altcoin and both at the end give me loss.

I am hoping this week to get a payment from a client and if I get that I would probably save that for long time, by the way whats the best time to sell the saved bitcoins ? Any hint or expected time when the price will be on top ?
