Mined a few Th/s for months and wound up with 8 btc. Soon as btc fell below 600 I bailed and converted to silver and sold all but one Th/s rig. I'll use that as a room heater. All in all I broke even. Lesson learned.

Hi 66tbird,
You might want to consider running your miner on bitsolo, that way you have a chance of hitting a full block of 25 BTC when you are using the room heater. Do remember me when you hit a block.  Grin

I believe BTC is far from dead, there has been far too much of investment in BTC for it to die so quickly. There should at least be one final pump where the big fish will want to take out all their money. I am an un-abashed optimist though, so hoping that adoption of BTC will help drive the price of BTC further.  Smiley

I used to have 7, cex.io screwed me out of 2.5 btc because they added futures and made shares drop by a lot within a few hours.

just buy small bits and pieces every now and then. I use coinbase whenever i want to do something. you should try that or virwox , virwox has more fees though.

I love the dips even if its just $50-$100 I try to add whenever I can when prices are under $500.
Me too.
Buying the dips seems to be easy.
It is much harder though to call the top.
Usually I end up spending some satoshis on goods or services at the top, if I look back to what I did.
I never convert to FIAT on exchanges though, only to some other alt-shit-coin if I see (short term) potential

I currently own coins worth few thousands, I will sell only when prices cross 600$/coin mark  Wink

Why would you do that? it will reach 1K again, then moon until unimaginable prices. If I had that amount of BTC I would only sell if needed to pay bills and what not.

I currently have 2 BTC with me and plan to hold at least 1 BTC till i retire Grin.

I do believe BTC has a future, hence the vow to hold 1 BTC till the end of time. I didn't buy cheap though (around $400) but i did ensure that this was bought with money that i can afford to lose. It is very easy to get carried away and invest your life savings in BTC, especially with the low prices these days. Don't do it!!!
My advice to everyone who want to get on to the BTC bandwagon is simple: Only invest money that you can afford to lose. Never invest money saved for running expenses in the hope that you can turn a big profit as you almost always, will fail.

My 2 satoshi Grin

I hold a little over a score, and I'm not too worried about the price drop. I'm more worried about where the bottom is, because I would like to purchase more; however, it seems whenever I try to buy more after waiting for things to settle, the price goes down again so I can't get as many.
