What about middle class English, what do you think about them?

What is middle class English - is that talking through your bum? The class difference in England is more about accent, and when you eat your dinner.

My gramma was very strict, but my grandpa was more relaxed about conversation  - is that middle class English?

My God... most of you are terrible at this but you have given me an idea... that's two subordinate clauses by the way.

English is global means of communication in numerous dialects. It is very important that you know how to compose a good grammar when you are introducing something that is new. Of course, first impression lasts. If you are promoting a cryptocurrency platform, you should make it attractive to your market.  In relation to this poor English, this will give a negative impact. It seems that the website became cheap because it was not premeditated. Every word in a promotion is important because this will give either a good impression or bad.  People might think that you are a scam because you didnt establish a good impression.

Look I agree with what you're saying, some websites do have atrocious spelling, perhaps more so in the crypto-sphere.
I usually immediately call it out when a website has bad spelling when they're asking for a review on this forum for example.

Not that my spelling and grammar is perfect by any means, but at least I put in quite some effort to write correctly.

That said, you're not the right man for that job Tongue Vod pointed that out pretty fast and thoroughly...

@Vod: LOL literally making my day

1. You should probably move this to services.
2. You probably should just offer copyrighting services instead (with the inclusion of fixing bad english)

TBH, with something as international as Bitcoin, I don't think nearly as badly of websites within the digital currency industry as I do of websites in other industries.

broken english errors

Damn you Vod, you got them all, though there're probably a few more improvements a proper editor might make.

All that takedown on OP's obviously misplaced belief in his/her own expertise aside... I don't really get turned off by bad English. I don't think perfect English (not possible anyway) should be a measure of the project's worth.

That said, proofreading and editing helps communicate messages better, makes it easier to consume, and yeah, helps with overall image of the project as a credible venture, not so much as a technically-sound effort.

Got to remember also with all the blockchain development going on in non-English speaking regions, we should probably expect future content to all be in "broken English".

When investors are looking for projects to invest their money in, one of the first things they look at is the projects website. They are immediately turned off and immediately quit research and deem the project "junk" when the see poor english grammar. English is a tricky language, you cannot simply use software to translate.

I can correct the broken english errors on your website and help provide a more professional look. DM me, thanks.

I think it's a fair point although you should've PF'd your post Smiley

It's true that ICOs wanting to raise millions should really consider having a native check their content. However given that people rarely read whitepapers, is there any point? People just throw money at projects without doing any research Wink

Well, I haven't seen so many, but when I see some mistakes I usually don't pay attention. There are not a lot of people with a really good command of English due to numerous reasons.
Would be nice of you if you email them about the mistakes you found.

maybee you should ease down on perfectionism, there is no such thing as ideal englisch.

united states and uk dont even have "english" as "official" state language just as "de facto" state langauge.

what do you want to do about urban slang when people use words like wtf fucked up, or fomo etc.

its like a dialect within english in the future it might be the "perfect english" it depends who will take over the power.

italians today also dont speak latin anymore

additioally if you are pissed off about someone elses english or accent, you are typically seeking to enforce someone elses englisch on someone else.

like englishmen forcing the english of the queen or their banksters on others.

or american the english of their banksters/president/politicians on others.

same with indians hong kongnese.

you should develop a certain form of tollerance because you might speak a centrictic form of english, same with grammar.

many nigerians speek an african english slang i have observed.

additionally there is urban slang,

Its just a language so no need to go further to do the big digging on good or bad english it will never work good.
Please go to english class and get trained by the Tutor you are working professionally to equip in English. I still do not understand why you have created this thread on this section when it is not no way related here.

Well, well, well. Are you biased? I mean, do you only care for rich English? I think poor English has its place in the dictionary too. What about middle class English, what do you think about them?

Before you correct the English of others, why don't you try to fix your own English first, it seems that you need it more than other people. If you really want to earn money from correcting English of others, make sure that you know it very well to be able to earn money from it.

poor english grammar.

You should capitalize the names of countries, nationalities, and languages because they are proper nouns.

I don't know man - three errors in just a few sentences and you want to be a proofreader?  :/

As you are providing a service, you should move your topic to the 'Services' section in the 'Marketplace' board.
If a project's website is written in poor English, its team is probably not professionally serious about what they are doing. Typos exist on any website, for sure, but poor–written English is a red flag.
