since my office mates love to play games on their smart phones, I introduced them to an app/game that pays in bitcoin. some liked it, some don't but they just want to play the game not to earn bitcoins or know something about bitcoins

How do you make bitcoins playing a game on your phone?  What is the best game?  Thanks!

I have recommended bitcoin to about four friends.  Only one of them has started using it.  Two of the others had already been burned before when the price was higher I think.

Only one of my friends even shows interest in Bitcoin.  Cry

none are not as geeky as me
It doesn't take to be a geek to be interested with bitcoins.
My interest with bitcoins started because of the opportunity to earn because of a MLM group that uses bitcoins as a payment platform.

To none, all people think that BTC is nerd money to buy drugs, child porn and hire hitmans, among other illegal stuff.

Won't waste my time trying to prove they are wrong

Bitcoin in my country is not famous. only some people know about bitcoin and how it works.
I recommend my friends, some of them don't care about bitcoin and some interest about it. but the problem is many of them scare about being scam because bitcoin is online thing. and it's hard to make people believe bitcoin.

I have recommended bitcoin to 100-200friends and 90% of them has accepted this and are earning from this Smiley I have gifted 0.001btc each..and maybe somebody had remembered that

I think that is a very good idea! Give them something to start with like a 0.001BTC
It's up to them where or how to use it, but whats 0.001BTC can do or buy now?

that amount can be used to send a few test transactions to find out how things exactly work. beside that there isn't really much you can do with 0.001btc.

it's going to be hard if we explain without showing where to get it and how to get it.
the most common reply to me whenever I try to introduce someone to bitcoin is "it's a scam"

I recommend Bitcoin to one friend and he loses money of course probably like 90% of people who have recommended to friends etc.

I am rather disappointed I never got here earlier then it would have been a win win but not the end of the world.

We win some we lose some but at least we are still here.

I did recommend it to some friends a while ago but they didn't want to try because they had read so many bad articles about it.  Undecided
Like what bad articles? And they didn't read first the good article about bitcoin before the ad article, of they do that maybe they change their minds and they use bitcoin, and explain to them what they didn't understand about bitcoin.

I want to be your friend. I am a very good person and I love bitcoin so much. I heard about bitcoin from your post. Can I have now your gift for about 0.001 bitcoin? I promise that i use it only for good purpose.

Hahaha lol me to, i want to be your friend Cheesy just kidding
anyway you have a lot of friends there,so you spent your 0.001 btc to give as free for your friends?
nice campaign maybe i'll do it to my friends
and then you just need 0.2 bitcoin for 200 friends right?
Wow i think your friend right now is energetic and have an interest on bitcoin because they work hard to have coins so that they can return what you gave to them or maybe they work hard to thank you as a form of treating you in restaurant.

are you seriously asking for 0.001 BTC ? you dont need to tell me your false stories just give me your bitcoin wallet address i will send you 0.001 without asking anything  Tongue

Here is my address in case you'd take this for real. Wink 1A26NMs1Ta5pSCDJ2vVybciMtyeZM1UEvK (lol just kidding)

I've had a hard time getting people that have heard bad things about it to come around, but most of the time after I talk for long enough I can convince them that it's a good thing.

Almost all of us had a hard time telling them the benefits of bitcoin without them asking whether it is a scam or not. Tried to tell it once to my economics teacher and our conversation ended up with her asking me whether all the volume and price was "made up" and it was just another pyramiding scheme. I could tell no more about bitcoin because back then I am not knowledgeable about it so in the end I haven't convinced her that using bitcoins is a good thing.

Today I've recommended Bitcoin to a profesor of mine in college. He never heard of crypto currencies before but now that I've started "teaching" him about Bitcoin, decentralization and its features, he became interested in it. Now he said that he would like to buy himself a miner and start earning some Bitcoins. I will later teach him about how mining works (difficulty, etc). Anyways, that's one more member for the Bitcoin community. I also told him to make an account at Bitcoin Talk and join a signature campaign to earn Bitcoins.  Cheesy
Pretty good, on what subject did he teach? if he teach computer related maybe he knows that and also he try it. So keeping recommend it to anyone so they can help bitcoin grow and became a popular as a form of money.

The subject that he teaches is Computer Databases. He never heard of Bitcoin, but now he does (thanks to me) and he's ready to buy a miner. I've just recommended him to buy himself an Antminer S3 or an S5.  Smiley
A prof that teach computer related but didn't know bitcoin? hahahaha i think he not love to read or he maybe not interested on things that make money. but its good to hear that he is willing to adopt and to use bitcoin and now he is miner Cheesy thanks to you hahahaha

Yes I've also thought of that. But I guess he didn't have the time to read and investigate about such crypto currency. As soon as he receives his miner (he bought it from ebay) I'll tell him everything from mining difficulty & hashrate, to configuring cgminer. He became interested in mining to make some profits. What he doesn't know is that this isn't easy as it sounds. You have to take into consideration electricity costs and mining difficulty. Cheesy
Haha because your computer will always open when you are mining and its can affect your bill for the electricity.
