No Bitcoin sites will agry that they have being hacked, they will always try to cover their tracks. but tons of Bitcoin sites have being hack oh.
Not always a hack is real, sometime gambling sites claim that they have been hacked just to rip off investors of their money. Only some strong vault gambling sites may try to hide hack records just to keep the trust of investors.

Instead of the entire site being hacked, what usually happens is they find an exploit in the site and use it to their advantage and withdraw funds.

Not many of them which is actually surprising, of course allot of 1-2 days old websites using that free and full of exploit script get hacked, but other than that the big websites rarely report hacks, either because they can afford to cover it or because they have good security preventing hacks completely.
not really true , remember when primedice got exploited and lost thousands bitcoin?
they have grown as a big and trustworthy bitcoin gambling site but still get exploited.
there is nothing guarantee that the bigger site the more security they have , also online gambling always lack of trust.

I agree it is a matter of security.  Even if the Casino gambling site is new as  long as their site is well secured and run by competent programmers, I believe they are hard to hack by hackers.  I also agree that even the largest gambling site can be hacked if someone find a glitch and exploit them.  Most of this glitch happen during updates and upgrades and during the installation of new games.  Though some gambling site use this hack as an excuse for their exit strategy.

Also it is smart if they do not have so much money in their hot wallets. Having cold wallets is one of the best things a gambling site could do to secure their site. There are still new sites who are ignorant with this fact as they are risking the whole deposit of everyone in their site as well as their bank roll.

I don't know but until right now i never heard about that even there I think that are just the way for run with the money.
You are right the best excuse to scam others is pretend to be hacked yourself and that's what most sites do because in case someone catches them up too, they can simply tell that they have been hacked.

While this happens there are some true cases of hacking too, like primedice was hacked by some hufflepuff and the best part of the scamming was, he was seen live winning. The good deed from PD was they never charged their gamblers for their own loss.
I'm still interested in the question that several gambling games were hacked, and What caused the reason and somehow was interested in this. The fact is that the owners and administration may have managed to heaven. This is a gold mine for people who profit from gambling. As they say, a gambler leaves coins. But if you collect a lot for each coin,

I do not know, I guess only a little, and it was not hacked completely, but only bitcoin or coin theft on the site. Well, hackers may not be interested in picking up his site, but they are interested in the content that is on the site.

No idea either on how many gambling sites have been hacked. I guess most of them have tight security and they are empowering it so that their funds won't be robbed by hackers. This business is serious and I'm sure that no casino will start with a weak security for their operation.
There are probably quite a lot of casino's that are operated by incompetent owners/developers, just look at the sheer number of casino's that are listed here on the forum.
Then look at how they've built their website, some are really terrible.

It wouldn't surprise me if some of them had some pretty major security holes.

You're probably right, but still we don't hear much about bitcoin casinos getting hacked, and this is kinda strange, because money should attract hackers, and even small casinos have $50,000 - $100,000 worth of Bitcoin in their bankrolls. My explanation is that all (or almost all) casinos keep most of their bankroll in cold storage, and since it's not connected to the Internet, it's just impossible to steal from it.

It is indeed very true that now there is no news that says there is no gambling sites that are compromised. But I think that it's because they provide excellent security for any gambling sites owned, hopefully it can be done properly in order not to do hacking
We may say like that but there are hacking that actually takes place. But then, why would you open a gambling site if you cannot afford your losses caused by your own mistakes ?

I mean does a gambler asks the gambling site for refund when he looses because of his mistake ? NO .. then why a gambling site has the power to stole balance of gamblers who were not even aware of the hack and the loop hole.

many of us don't know how many gambling sites have been hacked because if one gambling sites is hacked, the owner will not make any panic situations for the members. i think the owner will say that they have got a problem with the sites and the site will be maintenance for a while. but i think in out there, there are any gambling sites that will telling into the public if their sites have been hacked and all of the fund is still secure.

Seems like everybody wants to start a gambling website lately using the available scripts.

I keep warning them and would personally never deposit any coins to a site like that. Either they get hacked or they run when they pocket a few bitcoins..
actually we should know about how strong the site security it is before make any huge deposit. bitdice so far has the strongest security in term of protecting user's account to get hacked, don't know about the site vulnerability itself , some experts might could explain a little about this. gambling site with huge bankroll and large community always been targeted to hack , so they might have prepared about that too.

To be honest, I really don't know how many has been hack. I'm much interested on how many has been hack for real. The most popular hack was on PD when one player exploited it and got away with 1000btc+. I was there watching his insane betting and it was a real hack.

Yes we had some major hacks in some of the dice sites in the past but now we are not hearing these exploits is because they will be actively monitor users who have usual rolling patterns and people who are winning a big amount and every big withdrawal is manual in almost all of the sites ,so it reduces these sort of incidents we had in the past.

When events like that happens, the casino owners become more attentive and set stronger defense mechanisms on their sites. It's good as a guarantee for gamblers and especially for investors who put thousands of dollars in Bitcoins on these sites. But I believe nothing is already enough when we talk about safety, samehow the defense mechanisms are upgraded, the hackers upgrade their attack mechanisms as well.
One of the most important thing on a certain gambling site is on its security which players can say that their money is safe even though they would deposit large amounts they will really feel secure and thats an important matter because most gamblers will seek out this for sure. Anything can really be hacked but depend on the skills of a hacker which we should still always be aware on this kind of risk.
