Four hours shouldn't be to big of a deal.  I should have that logged by morning.

You must be logged in and at least one Thread (Forum/Sub Forum website is not enough) must be open in the Browser. Then the "Total time logged in" Counter will tick. But there is some kind of Timeout. According to my tests you must reload or change the threadsat least every 10-15 minutes to make the Counter still tick.

So use the time to read the content of this forum.  Grin

5 I believe, though the big kicker is 4 hours online.

Read a few posts from the top posters on the forums.  Gives an idea of the intellectual inertia of the site.
That is one of the most salient comments I've seen in the Newbies section yet!

also, for some reason you can post in the language specific forums without having done the spamming first. 比特币万岁!

I've already been lurking for like 50 hours i think lol, but every time I had something relevant or intelligent to post, and I wanted to contribute, I couldnt post because I hadnt spammed the newbie forum yet. Now I have finally found a topic where i WANT to post

4 Hours is nothing, just reading on setting up Linuxcoin with SmartCoin took that, going back and forth seeing my setup wouldn't work and finally did get it working. Just add trying to find out the best settings for Phoenix and phatk took a good 30 minutes for my cards.
Definitely +1 to that. My only regret after lurking for hours on end is that I didn't sign up right off the bat, so now I have to lurk for four more hours. Tongue

It's not enough to stay logged in without surfing in the forum.

No, you must be active on the forums for up the time logged in.

40 minutes later without touching the Mouse and/or keyboard and it's 3:37 p.m. German local time and the "Total time logged in" Counter shows "Total time logged in: 16 minutes."

It's not enough to stay logged in without surfing in the forum.

5 posts/4 hours is reasonable. 5 posts is easy, and you really should spend at least 4 hours reading through the forums to educate yourself. Otherwise your posts will probably be misinformed or just repeating topics that have already been covered 10 times over. Besides, if you look around, the newbie section actually has a lot of interesting discussion going on.

Does it count the time if you just keep the forum open  overnight while you sleep?

This is one way to discourage new forum users, isn't there a better way to fight spam?

Agreed.  4 hours is a little much.
