There was a pretty cool tool which I saw here a few weeks ago where it would look at your activity, post count and a few other things and then value your account, can't remember who or where I found it though.

Found it

Can anyone make like an equation like:
(Number of Activities) * x = ?BTC
No because account worth is a complex thing and depends on many more variables, like
postcount, ost quality, trustrating, active lons, sign message, bans.. etc

This thread really doesn't belong to Meta. Should be moved to Digital Goods.

Well my estimates for accounts are-
Jr. Member: 0.005BTC
Member: 0.015BTC
Full Member: 0.085BTC
Sr. Member- 0.2BTC
Hero Member: 0.8BTC

Well, you could earn more. There is no fixed price.

Newbies: 0.000001-0.004BTC
Jr. Member: 0.004-0.02BTC
Member: 0.02-0.12BTC
Full Member: 0.06-0.15BTC
Sr. Member- 0.15-0.3BTC
Hero Member: 0.75-1.2xBTC(x=a_one_digit_number)
I just gave you the "estimates" . Read above, I never said these are fixed prices.

I would not price Hero accounts at a max 1.2 BTC. In my opinion, that is rather high. 1 Bitcoin max is what I would pay for one if I were to purchase. The ROI you could achieve with a Hero account is high, but to do it without spamming profusely takes some time. They often stay unsold for quite a while too. Sr. member accounts are probably the most valuable and most needed in the current market for purposes of Signature campaigns. They are affordable, and receive reasonable rates for signature deals. The rates paid for Sr. accounts compared to Hero's are miniscule which don't really Hero accounts a good investment.

I generally would not give any value to a newbie account unless it can rank up to at least 56 activity just by posting as anything below that really does not give you any real benefits (the posting limit is somewhat relaxed at this point however it is still very annoyingly high).

If you are looking to buy an account then the best value will probably be a high level member account. I personally was able to get .07 recently for member accounts however I have seen other sellers sell them for as little as .02 to .03 btc. If you were to make only a few posts over a few weeks then you could rank it up to full member status and get .05 per month on a fixed rate deal. You would be able to double your initial investment in just ~2 months plus you would be able to sell it for a likely higher price.

Low level full member accounts can sell for anywhere between .1 and .15ish and tend to be a pretty good deal for someone buying their first account and want to start getting paid to post right away. It would take around 2 to 3 months to make your money back with a low level full member however the value will probably have increased more over that time. Higher level (180-200) full members can sell for between .15 to .2ish however some people sell for less. If you can find a full member account with more then 220 activity then it will likely be a good deal if you want to flip the account quickly as you can probably buy it for around .25 or so at the most and should be able to sell it for .35 pretty quickly in less then a month when it gets promoted to senior member. Low level senior members will generally sell more quickly then a low level full member.

In the past and for a long time the floor for senior accounts was ~.4 or so and it wouldn't be difficult to sell a 350 + senior for a good .5 to .55 btc. Today low level seniors can sell for as low as .35ish but sometimes as low as .33 btc and the additional premium for having a high level senior has all but disappeared. I would say that you probably couldn't get more then .44 or so for a 350+ senior and probably no more then .5 for a 420+ activity senior. A senior account is probably the best if you post a lot (without spamming) as you can generally almost double or more then double per post then a full member account but going to hero status will only get a small raise on a per post basis.

I am honestly not sure why people buy hero accounts. Granted they are rare so you do have the prestige of being a hero however they only earn a little bit more then a senior account. In the past the floor for a hero was 1 btc although this has somewhat changed recently as more people have become heros. You can probably get a hero account for somewhere in the range of .75 to .85 or so although some people are asking for more and can probably get more, I would say if you can wait a little while then you can probably get a good 1.1 to 1.3 for a hero as there are few of them for sale. I think it is interesting that two of the three hero accounts I have sold are not in a signature campaign despite them all generally being active in the community. The one senior that has stayed active for several months and eventually got promoted to hero status also is not in a signature deal but is very active.

Legendary accounts are hard to price. The price I sold my only legendary account was inflated because of it being on default trust. It also took a very long time to sell at that price. Legendary accounts are more rare then heros and they do have the special feature of ranking up at a "random" time. If I had to put a price on a legendary account then I would say somewhere in the range of 1.3 to 1.7 although I don't think I have ever even seen a legendary account publicly listed for sale (although a few have offered their account to me - they wanted too much though).

If you deal in accounts then you generally want to wait until you find accounts at an exceptionally low price, generally because its owner needs money quickly and as long as you don't need money you can wait for someone who can afford a higher price. If you are publicly buying accounts then you can probably command lower prices because of the hassle of trying to sell your accounts. You just need to know what precautions you need to take to protect yourself......

The actual price of them doesn't have anything to do with the forum though.
Please guide me where to move the thread.

This thread should not be here in the Meta section, come on guys  Roll Eyes. However your prices are really random, and very "strange"  because no one will sell a Sr. member (476 of activity) almost hero for only 0.3 bitcoin and a Hero ( 480 490 of activity) for  0.75 bitcoin.

I reported it but no action was taken by mod. Sad

There's not many active global mods at the minute and BadBear is away too. I've reported quite a few threads recently and it can take quite a while to have the reports handled if there isn't a specific mod for that particular section.

I believe this thread should stay in Meta.  It involves buying and selling of forum accounts, which is a forum issue.

I'd also like to see QuickSeller weigh in on the account prices.

so the price of bitcointalk account depend on activity and what? What factors affect the valuation account?

The price usually depend on the activity but there are other factors too such as trust, avatar and registered date(not usual). I said the price in general.

You're probably right. If you look at the recent sales, HM were sold just above 0.7BTC and Sr. Member can be sold near to HM's price but not the price HM is sold.

So taking that to consideration, Sr. Member: 0.15BTC to 0.5BTC. To be honest, I haven't seen a SM sold above 0.4BTC.

so the price of bitcointalk account depend on activity and what? What factors affect the valuation account?

For me, the account value depend on activity , trust , and quality post that have been made.

Based activity,  to reach a hero you need a year to achieve it. Something not easy to make it since it tooks a long time

Based on quality ,
If someone sell account, he/she can try to sell that account very cheap even his/her account's rank is hero.
But if seller sold the account with high value, I think he/she has made a good quality post on it

Based on trust,
Well ,..account with high trust or green or default trust... it's surely has the highest price since trust is really damn hard to achieve it
