It is because every second person owns a faucet too many faucets are in market that is why the owner now are not earning that much from their faucets expect they are losing their money.

P.S It's not a good time to run a faucet.
Having many faucets does not mean competition it promotes faucet claimers to visit more sites. Also rotators promote the faucet claimers to claim every single one of them. The only problem is are you willing to invest big so that your faucet will have a good traffic.

Agree,  faucet sites would  be profitable  only if they make it  when bitcoin is  just starting  up   but as of todays  adoption of bitcoin and  many  people does  have  own a faucets which mean you would  definitely   have hard time to get people  on your  site because   there are lots  of competitions out there if you set  high pay rates  maybe   you would be choosen as a good   faucet but  it wouldnt profitable.

I don't get it, I specifically ask for Faucet Owners who have actually earn/loss on their faucet yet only I get 2 replies saying that they earned and the other one saying its not profitable, both of them of which are ex-faucet owners. Yet I am only getting opinions from people who are not really knowlegeable about owning a faucet or even how advertising works.

First of all when you put your faucet live it will be upto you how you advertise it, The more visitors to your faucet the more you will earn. It will be upto you that you the faucet will reset after hour half hour or after whole day. Well i say that if you want real traffic on your faucet then set it on half-hour but there are too many bots who will drawn out your money so better protect your faucet first.

You need to think of ways how to stop bots all the time. Now people are more clever and if the faucet owner is not careful, the funds will be drained by bots.

I think you haven't to expect high earning from owning a faucet nowadays, unless you start with good budget to give big amounts, and to advertise your faucet link.

Actually creating a faucet is nor really profitable idea for earning Bitcoin online. It becomes harder to approve your faucet site with Adsense and mellowads and such advertising sites. And without high quality traffic it wouldn't work well for you

Actually,it is not so easy to make much profit from running or newly a faucet nowadays on otherhand without adsense there was not so easy to offer better rewards and make profit so Adsence is a master key for run a site properly and profitable.
You need to monetize your faucet properly in order to not lose money or banned by adsence.

Good luck.

I think it's no longer possible to start a faucet from scratch and profit from it; not after Adsense crackdown. When faucets used to run Adsense, it was very easy to offer better rewards and make profit but not without Adsense.

To come around that, wouldn't a service like Amazon associates or pop ads be equally good ? I don't believe a turn down from adsense would be the big reason for shutting down a faucet or not operating one.
The OP talked about starting a new faucet and profiting. Nothing about a preexisting faucet.
Amazon Associate, are you kidding? Do you think faucet users would actually buy a product? But it is possible to continue a preexisting faucet with a little profit but the faucet rewards would have to be lowered down a lot. Coinad and Mellowads work best for faucet owners nowadays.

Can someone here actually provide me  an Income/Expense Statement perhaps, since what I am seeing are mostly guesses and opinions of actually building a faucet. I hope you don't get me wrong with what I said as I really want know are the numbers, not opinions.

What is the pay per impression and pay per click and how many ads will you be displaying ? Where will the adds be displayed and does your landing page show as many ads as possible without looking like crap ? You need to give us more info. What traffic are you getting ? How long does the traffic stay for ?

Optimizing can increase your pay by up to 60% sometimes even more. So that plays a massive part just arranging the ad placement.
As I say I need more info.
Ok. Ill put 4 banners one on each side ( left, right, top, bottom ) of the claim button. I am also looking for both CPM and CPC . Thank you for helping me try to compute it for me.

It depends on how much traffic can you provide to your faucet/site. Honestly I can't recommend you to open a faucet cause it's not that profitable now that google adsense is banning all faucet sites plus there are problems in maintaining your site cause of the bots.

A newly formed faucet do not make the owner to earn a good profit or we can say that the earnings go in zero but if the owner start to increase its traffic and paste there some banners from good paying ad net works then they will be able to earn some profit.
Yes. earning from a simple, new and free faucet like faucebox is very hard now. because getting good ads on this type of sites is very hard. google adsense almost banned all faucets.
only those faucets have google adsense which have some good contents like text etc.
so if someone want to make good money through faucet then he should invest some money first to make a custom faucet, and add some quality articles/pagees contents then he may get a google adsense and will be able to earn 500$ a month if he get good traffic.

I am seriously considering opening up my own faucet. Can faucet owners here in the forum share on how much they have earned from there network ad campaign provider?

And can you please share to me what is the best ad provider (Coinad, Mellowad, A-ad or any other provider) in terms of payment and how easily they accept your site.

Try to add some pop up ads which could be good revenue at this time since adsense decline faucets. Many suggest pop ads will reduce traffic to your site since its annoying, but you can increase the traffic by just giving extra sathoshi and a good referral percentage. I am doing the same but my site is not faucet, $300 average per month from pop ads is my earning, so the other advertisements are sufficient to pay your users and pop ads earning would be your profit.
You need approximately 2 btc as investment to pay the users for the first 2 months.

Remember anyone coming to your faucet is to get those few sathoshi so keep a reward proportional to the ads you are using, you may succeed

I can say you that time you will spend to create and manage faucet won't be worth your earnings. I had my faucet earlier and what I can say: without Adsense it's very hard to have profitable faucet. Other ad networks pays very low and also you will get mostly traffic from Russia, Ukraine or asia countries and they ad clicks and impressiins rates are very low. Best ad networks like Mellowads, Bitmedia, Bitvertise don't accept basic Faucetbox faucets, faucet have to be unique. And they easily can ban you for low quality traffic and invalid clicks. Believe me, faucets have very poor traffic. Solution can popup ad services, they pays pretty well, but some of have ads with malware content and many users avoids faucets with popups. And don't forget about never ending fight with bots, it costs lot of time and work. If you will find the way how to get profit, it won't be much, and I don't think it can satisfy after hard work.
