It is because every second person owns a faucet too many faucets are in market that is why the owner now are not earning that much from their faucets expect they are losing their money.

P.S It's not a good time to run a faucet.
Having many faucets does not mean competition it promotes faucet claimers to visit more sites. Also rotators promote the faucet claimers to claim every single one of them. The only problem is are you willing to invest big so that your faucet will have a good traffic.

Agree,  faucet sites would  be profitable  only if they make it  when bitcoin is  just starting  up   but as of todays  adoption of bitcoin and  many  people does  have  own a faucets which mean you would  definitely   have hard time to get people  on your  site because   there are lots  of competitions out there if you set  high pay rates  maybe   you would be choosen as a good   faucet but  it wouldnt profitable.

I don't get it, I specifically ask for Faucet Owners who have actually earn/loss on their faucet yet only I get 2 replies saying that they earned and the other one saying its not profitable, both of them of which are ex-faucet owners. Yet I am only getting opinions from people who are not really knowlegeable about owning a faucet or even how advertising works.

First of all when you put your faucet live it will be upto you how you advertise it, The more visitors to your faucet the more you will earn. It will be upto you that you the faucet will reset after hour half hour or after whole day. Well i say that if you want real traffic on your faucet then set it on half-hour but there are too many bots who will drawn out your money so better protect your faucet first.

You need to think of ways how to stop bots all the time. Now people are more clever and if the faucet owner is not careful, the funds will be drained by bots.

I think you haven't to expect high earning from owning a faucet nowadays, unless you start with good budget to give big amounts, and to advertise your faucet link.

Actually creating a faucet is nor really profitable idea for earning Bitcoin online. It becomes harder to approve your faucet site with Adsense and mellowads and such advertising sites. And without high quality traffic it wouldn't work well for you

Actually,it is not so easy to make much profit from running or newly a faucet nowadays on otherhand without adsense there was not so easy to offer better rewards and make profit so Adsence is a master key for run a site properly and profitable.
You need to monetize your faucet properly in order to not lose money or banned by adsence.

Good luck.

I think it's no longer possible to start a faucet from scratch and profit from it; not after Adsense crackdown. When faucets used to run Adsense, it was very easy to offer better rewards and make profit but not without Adsense.

To come around that, wouldn't a service like Amazon associates or pop ads be equally good ? I don't believe a turn down from adsense would be the big reason for shutting down a faucet or not operating one.
The OP talked about starting a new faucet and profiting. Nothing about a preexisting faucet.
Amazon Associate, are you kidding? Do you think faucet users would actually buy a product? But it is possible to continue a preexisting faucet with a little profit but the faucet rewards would have to be lowered down a lot. Coinad and Mellowads work best for faucet owners nowadays.

Can someone here actually provide me  an Income/Expense Statement perhaps, since what I am seeing are mostly guesses and opinions of actually building a faucet. I hope you don't get me wrong with what I said as I really want know are the numbers, not opinions.

What is the pay per impression and pay per click and how many ads will you be displaying ? Where will the adds be displayed and does your landing page show as many ads as possible without looking like crap ? You need to give us more info. What traffic are you getting ? How long does the traffic stay for ?

Optimizing can increase your pay by up to 60% sometimes even more. So that plays a massive part just arranging the ad placement.
As I say I need more info.
Ok. Ill put 4 banners one on each side ( left, right, top, bottom ) of the claim button. I am also looking for both CPM and CPC . Thank you for helping me try to compute it for me.

It depends on how much traffic can you provide to your faucet/site. Honestly I can't recommend you to open a faucet cause it's not that profitable now that google adsense is banning all faucet sites plus there are problems in maintaining your site cause of the bots.

A newly formed faucet do not make the owner to earn a good profit or we can say that the earnings go in zero but if the owner start to increase its traffic and paste there some banners from good paying ad net works then they will be able to earn some profit.
Yes. earning from a simple, new and free faucet like faucebox is very hard now. because getting good ads on this type of sites is very hard. google adsense almost banned all faucets.
only those faucets have google adsense which have some good contents like text etc.
so if someone want to make good money through faucet then he should invest some money first to make a custom faucet, and add some quality articles/pagees contents then he may get a google adsense and will be able to earn 500$ a month if he get good traffic.

I am seriously considering opening up my own faucet. Can faucet owners here in the forum share on how much they have earned from there network ad campaign provider?

And can you please share to me what is the best ad provider (Coinad, Mellowad, A-ad or any other provider) in terms of payment and how easily they accept your site.

Try to add some pop up ads which could be good revenue at this time since adsense decline faucets. Many suggest pop ads will reduce traffic to your site since its annoying, but you can increase the traffic by just giving extra sathoshi and a good referral percentage. I am doing the same but my site is not faucet, $300 average per month from pop ads is my earning, so the other advertisements are sufficient to pay your users and pop ads earning would be your profit.
You need approximately 2 btc as investment to pay the users for the first 2 months.

Remember anyone coming to your faucet is to get those few sathoshi so keep a reward proportional to the ads you are using, you may succeed

I can say you that time you will spend to create and manage faucet won't be worth your earnings. I had my faucet earlier and what I can say: without Adsense it's very hard to have profitable faucet. Other ad networks pays very low and also you will get mostly traffic from Russia, Ukraine or asia countries and they ad clicks and impressiins rates are very low. Best ad networks like Mellowads, Bitmedia, Bitvertise don't accept basic Faucetbox faucets, faucet have to be unique. And they easily can ban you for low quality traffic and invalid clicks. Believe me, faucets have very poor traffic. Solution can popup ad services, they pays pretty well, but some of have ads with malware content and many users avoids faucets with popups. And don't forget about never ending fight with bots, it costs lot of time and work. If you will find the way how to get profit, it won't be much, and I don't think it can satisfy after hard work.

About the thread title, newly open faucet will have a hard time gaining profit at first since it's new and you are in the stage of promoting your faucets which chances of people to use your faucet has low possiblity. Nowadays fauceting are not that interesting method by those bitcoin enthusiast so they are finding other ways to earn bitcoin especially those newbies unlike back then.

I am seriously considering opening up my own faucet. Can faucet owners here in the forum share on how much they have earned from there network ad campaign provider?

I have the same desire back then but after hearing experience from those faucet owners here, I decided to change my plan instead and began focusing on other methods to earn bitcoin. Back then, there are really lots of faucets who pays well like 1,000 satoshis every hour but in just a matter of days or weeks, it become wreck. To give users a 1,000 satoshis every hour, the capital must be decent.

And can you please share to me what is the best ad provider (Coinad, Mellowad, A-ad or any other provider) in terms of payment and how easily they accept your site.

as  an ex-faucet owner I can assure you that the profit you get is not worth the effort and time you put into it
as was stated above,Adsense doesn't like faucets and loves to block your account after 3-4 months under any pretext
to profit form a faucet you got to have a decent hoster, preferably unique design and good bot protection
you have to balance payout vs profit on a weekly basis(sometimes even in 2-3 days when btc is volatile),know how to get traffic, analyse competitors and all that for under 300$ a month
without google adsense you will have to use a-ads,mellowads and other ad networks that are already saturated with faucets
so think twice before starting a faucet, you may earn some money, but  the majority of faucets live 1-2 months, some even less

No one can do that. You can buy a faucet sites that already get high traffic so that you can estimate how much can earn in a month.

Not much since the market is saturated. But you can make it unique like have some game on your faucet, and pay out from that, like some famous game integrated with some reward system paying out btc. This way you can definitely get a good income off it.

Not much at all , if you had opened a faucet a year back then I would have said you can earn well , nowadays its just too easy to make more money here on forum than faucets . Many people are fed up of faucets and don't claim their anymore . I would suggest you to open a Moneypot integrated casino site rather than faucet.
But the purpose of faucets are not to earn, but to teach new people that they can have a little bit of BTC in faucets, also it makes them aware how hard it is to have money online. Also are the advertisement providers not provide enough BTC to support faucet owners? If it isn't profitable than  many faucets such as ClaimBTC and Freebitco.in has close down.
Okay, but the sounds is you're not hoping for gaining a profit from your faucet but keep your faucet is alive with the funds is you're get from the advertise of your site?

So far I've seen more whining and posts with complaints that opening a new faucets is not profitable anymore.
I guess you can be successful only if your faucet is truly remarkable. I.e. you will offer the best payment or will include integrated games or other nice features.
Also without amazing SEO, positioning and advertising new faucet will be a flop for sure.

I'm not a faucet owner and never become a faucet owner but IMO there's no big profit in making faucet this time, and as what you've said its only new so most probably faucets depends only your advertising network specially now adsense is not accepting faucet sites anymore, and there are a lots of bot attack and there's a big chance that you will loss because of any kind of  bot attacks

define please what means for you "big profit" because when you get easy each month a revenue between 0.05 -0.10 btc you are doing a good earning.
yes it's not a big profit you can't become rich, but it's a good way to receive a fixed earn. Probably due the bots during a long time earning become lower and you can't get anymore this sum. Nowadays there are group of users from Ukraine/Russia/Asia that have really good bots: you can ban, add new captcha, ad block and so on but the work behind doesn't worth your effort and you lost only time/coins.

It takes time but i don't know how many days would it last to be accepted and also you should consider also for now to review some good feedbacks by those faucet owners if they get some good result for runninh unto it, because i think even you run an ad campaign still it cannot be profitable on your side side theirs only few people from now are still indulge on some faucet since people are get bored upon earning so low in some faucet sites.

i don't think opening up a faucet is really a profitable thing to do with your money, you have to look for other more constructive way to spend your time and money in order to make some money. at least that is my suggestion to you.

but if you insist on it, you can try it and nothing i say can be any better than this topic by minifrij which is a compilation of all the things you need to know if you want to start a new faucet:

Honestly its not easy to start a faucet you will experience of loses in the first time you need to pay for seo for traffic promoting your site is the hard thing that you need to do.. also adsense right now if you reported from your visitors adsense ban your account.. but if you are wise better to start to small rewards per claim until you secured your site from ddos and bots. if you successfully done that thing increase your rewards per claim that can increase more traffic in your faucet..

In real sense there is no limit to the amount you can earn from faucet but it depends on the number of people that visits your site and perform one action or the other daily, it also have to do with the ad format you are running.

when I run my faucet (ranked top 10 in faucet box list!) I get around 0.04-0.10 btc each month.
I decide to stop because a lot of bot attack the faucet, and there was a lot of work behind.

Actually there is not anymore the same interest in faucet, because without adsense there is any convenience for run a site.

Actually, this is the best experience for someone is want for opening the faucet at this time. a lot of abusers is making bitcoin faucet is not profitable at this time.

Not much,it is not very easy to make profit from running a faucet nowadays and the two main reasons are the low paying advertising networks(Adsense doesn't support faucets anymore) and the bots that drain your balance very quick. You need to do a lot of work to protect your faucet and monetize it properly in order to not lose money.
