And what is airdrop exactly? Just having the coin in your signature and/or avatar? Or is it also necessary to actually work?

Pure airdrops are just filling out a form and then getting tokens. You are talking about bounties that‘s something else. Solid airdrops are in my signature

It depend on idea of project and effort of team. If the project is involving very modern technology, you are likely to get decent profots from an airdrop.
Just like before, i joined POStoken and got some 40 tokens, atlast when token came on etherdelta,  it was initially selling at $2/POStoken and i
There are many other similar airdrops launching frequently, search for them and join to earn some free bucks

If youre a bit of lucky youll be getting money by just joining in an airdrop ,just like when ebtc airdrop rise. Even though i did not participated on the airdrop im still happy for those who recieved thier ebtc. Easy money.

Like you I also missed out ebtc and I felt envious for those who earn money from ebtc but still I'm fortunate for joining in ethereum dark airdrop. Yeah I sold it but when I realized that it's a promising one I immediately buy back.
I'm a fan of airdrop but when I smell something shady that people behind it are just taking the advantage of hypes of airdrops I step back and just focus again in trading.

I noticed the airdrop event too late. I joined all the airdrops I saw in a month, but I only have 2 different tokens. Neither has value: D

I think we feel as you feel, hunting airdrop is very easy to get coins and exchange rate is sufficient to be defined as where postoken, EBTC and other very valuable, but for today it is difficult to find airdrop as before the most scam., Dev / project is not clear, airdrop that must donate and token price is very cheap under 0.01

Why don't you participate in bounty campaings rather. I see airdrop as a waste of time without a real income be generated. Is anyone making a living from airdrop?

Another BIG red flag to look out for, is drops tied to an ICO, that get distributed before the conclusion of the token sale. That instantly kills any credibility in my mind, as it devalues the token before it's even launched, often resulting in traders on Etherdelta getting the tokens cheaper than people are paying for them via the official site.

I would say an airdrop with ico is even better, zhey get marketing and you get an airdrop where someone actually paid something for it

You're right, but you missed my point  Wink

Airdrops tied to an ICO are definitely better, but...if the airdrop is released before the ICO is complete, and ALL tokens have been distributed, it's generally going to be an amature project and won't end up having any real value.

Yes, it's not bad to participate to airdrops. Airdrop gives you a chance to earn extra money by exerting less effort by just  filling out the form. You are lucky if you get high value token. So, I decided to just hold the token that I've received from the airdrop. I believe that sooner it's price will be doubled or multiplied. My only advise is that, be aware when fill upping the form. Make sure that you do not give your primary key as ethereum address. Some of us do this and that's why their account was hacked by others.

I HODL most of the airdrops

Cryptocurrency is the future so why sell?

Because 99% of all this tokens won't be worth shit in a few weeks.
This is the sad truth on those coins that being distributed on airdrops.I would say only 2% of them will surely have value later on.If you did able to accumulate on those coins then you are lucky since that wont be a bad free money after all once it do hit exchanges but not yet sure since not all coins do being listed would end or start up on high value. This still involves risk if you do decide to sell or wait until it dies. Airdrop is absolutely free of charge. Who doesn't want free by the way just fill up the form then if you're lucky enough you'll get tons of it. I'm kinda addicted to airdrops and I already earned from it but not that big amount. Unfortunately some of my tokens that I acquired has less value but some got a huge potential to success in the future. I hold few tokens in my mew and I am hoping for its value to raise so that I can earn bigtime from it.

Im earning 50 to 100$ in every airdrop that i participated, its an easy money cause you will onky fill up a form then the tokens will be sent on your wallet. All you have to do now is to wait for it to be listed in an exchange.

I doubt anyone could earn a living from airdrops. I did an experiment for a few weeks to see if I could eek out any value, and for the most part, they end up costing nearly as much in gas to transfer/trade. That said, there are exceptions. As a general rule of thumb, if it's another clone-coin with no vision, roadmap or real purpose - other than getting listed on exchanges (or BS promises of a linked credit card [I say this because if TenX had as much trouble as they did finding processing partners with the millions they raised, ETH, BTC, DASH, "insert name" clone with no real backing, doesn't stand a chance]), it will probably be worthless. I also see a lot of BS token sales with goals that are near-on impossible with the amounts they're trying to raise. Bounty campaigns tend to be far better, especially when tied to a credible ICO. Ultimately you need to be selective, and pick the ones that look like they might amount to something over time.
