$0.186/kwh (first 200 kwh)
$0.217/kwh (201-500 kwh)
$0.235/kwh (501-750 kwh)
$0.310/kwh (751 kwh and more)

since my rigs are at 950 watts/h, they do make up for 690 kw/h of the monthly bill.
my normal usage is around 300 kwh, 690+300 is 990, a month's bill will be around $235. Shocked

Ouch..I bet a few more difficulty increases and you're out of the game..unless price goes up as well.

I think US and Canada needs more nuclear power plants

Nah.. I tend to prefer the "green" power plants. Not because they are "greener" than nuclear ones. They have the great advantage of being a renewable power sources.
However there is something fishy about the way of government support for green energy. And not only in the post soviet countries..

Anyway this is what I see/hope/believe for a future and better world: we stop using oil -> the pollution of the oceans is diminished -> the green algae return to their normal population -> the nature then will have enough resources to process the little extra CO2 from our bio plants.

Blame all the environmentalists... apparently, generating sufficient energy for your populace is considered a bad thing in California now.

Well.. not exactly the environmentalists, but the people who use them to make a lot of money Cheesy

Yeah that is just plain rip-off! Whatever country has such high electricity costs seriously needs to invest in more capacity and to increase competition among the providers.

Most countries do invest in more capacity by having a price floor on the "green" energy and that's driving the prices up.
actually env- making money from making money by electricity making, is one big biz.
"my GW is greenier than yours !! yo !"

lol fo sh0 dawg....but umm  yeah I think US and Canada needs more nuclear power plants - as unpopular and "scary" as that idea seems.

I'd move right next to one and ask the company operating the plant to run a 230,000V 3 phase power feed to the house lol!

I'd be sippin them jiggawatts twenty'fo'seven..fo sho!

$0.028/kWh  Grin

Well, not yet. That's where I'm moving the rigs when it's financially worth it (friend's house in Chelan county, Washington State). It's cheap because of the hydro power in the county. It's so cheap that, in the winter, people run crappy baseboard electric heaters rather than wood stoves or furnaces.

It has nothing to do with environmentalists.  The reason for high electricity prices in California are unions, teachers, and firefighters.  These are the greedy sobs that want everything.   They are all like City of Bell employees raping the average citizen with taxes.  All these utilities want control of the system, and they will install some solar panels at 10 times the market cost as long as they control the system and can rape us.  As long as the profits go to their pensions.

All the environmentalist asks is be given the right to hook up to the grid without a permit, without union labor, and force the utility to accept net-metering and install the necessary meter to do so on their dime.  Also allow us to sell to the grid.  PG&E, SC&E should have been taken over by state long ago and the grid 100% owned by the state using private firms to maintain the grid. We don't need a 8.5% sales tax we need to end the sales tax.

I would install a solar system tomorrow if I could do it myself.

Wow.. $0.40 / kWh is quite expensive. At this rate even the not-so-cheaper nvidia cards (like mine) will fail.
