Hello.
I asked a question yesterday which remained in a good answer.
By the way, I would like to know exactly if it is possible to transfer about 5000 BTC or 10000 BTC in a single transaction ?

Thank you.
Yes you can send 5000 BTC and 10000 BTC in a single transaction. There is no limit for sending bitcoin. You can send unlimited bitcoin but it take huge fees.

You can transfer as much Bitcoin as you want in a single transaction, there are no limits on how much you can move. In theory, you could even send the entire equivalent of the coin cap through a single transaction. You'd just have to be mindful of fees that would take away from that transaction.

People move a lot all the time, it's not something that's just a hypothetical scenario anymore. It's doable, and was doable when Bitcoin first started.

the owner of mt gox sent over 400,000 btc in a single transaction to prove he had the coins. there is no limit and a limit would be against the spirit of it. you have the right to do what you want within the protocol's rules.

I think there is no fix in sending bitcoin in a single transaction, as long as you have the bitcoins and you will pay the required fees then you are good to go and you can send all your bitcoins in one bitcoin and fully receive it without worrying.

I think the limit will always be how much bitcoin your wallet contains minus the fee.

If you have that such amount in your wallet I think you can, if you use an online wallet there's a limit. The highest bitcoin transaction I know was about half a million. Txid for proof

How convenient that transaction was, sending half million bitcoin without fees and was confirmed almost instantly. How I wish it could still be done today.

As long as you have BTC you can send as much as you have Wink But I wouldn't risk it to send that much (if I had them :p) because first it will take very long time to confirm the translation, and second you have to be 100% sure that you send them in the right place ( wallet/ payment).

21 millions Bitcoin including fees... I think so haha. The question is not very important. I think it is more annoy people when you ask how much minimum btc can be sent as a fee

Well, that is another great advantage that we have in bitcoin, because there is totally no limit. You can send as many bitcoins as you want, but let's be honest: in nowaydays, such a big transactions, for example those above 10,000 bitcoin do not really occur usually.
Back some days ago, in 2010 for example, you could have payed for something with that amount of btc, most likely the item that was not expensive in the past.

We do not really see such a big cash flow made in one transaction, usually it is divided among more transfers to hide the place where are they going to be stored.

21,000,000.. max

Correct answer! But what about fees?

fees isn't correlated to how many bitcoin you send but the size of a transaction, you can send 21 millions bitcoin with the same fee as 1000

Not correct. BitcoinHodler already pointed out that there's also other coins that are being sent to a burn address. Also there's the genesis block where the reward is unspendable.

It is possible like they said.
But for that amount you might get a lot of problems.
First is the fee which is going to be a lot.
Hacks. Where will you be sending it? Have you gathered all the information to make it a safe transaction?
You might want to mix it and that is another payment.
Or you could just send it little by little. With the value of bitcoin now many would want to get a hold of that amount of bitcoin.

I think there is no limit in transferring bitcoin or doing any kind of transaction in just one sending process because it is all about fees, if you can afford the fees that the transaction cost then you can send how much as you can in just single transaction.

Should have read the previous posts before posting a reply and as explained by Burt, it is not about the total amount which you are sending, its about the size of transaction in bytes. So many can afford it. Without fees it will take a lot of time as the delay is getting more and more nowadays.

All paid signature campaigns should be banned.
There is no limit in sending bitcoin. We can do various kinds of transactions in accordance with our wishes.
Bitcoin gives you something like this. We are free to do anything, compare try with other media that have many limitations.

This is what I believe that there is no limit, if you have that kind of bitcoin now. But for me, I will divide it to smaller btc so that whenever there is a problem I still have bitcoins left I am afraid because of that double spend issues I read here Wink
I know you will probably not be back because you are a damn signature spammer but what the heck are you talking about?  What double spend issue?  Where did you read it?  I think you are full of shit.

The answer is yes, it has been done many times.  The fee depends on the size of the transaction in bytes, not the amount of value being sent.  Therefore, if the transaction is a small number of byte (from a single address to a new single address) the transaction fee would be minimal.

All this bit ion transactions are complicated thing. Last week it needed 5 days to send 1 bitcoin! I can imagine how many days will be needed to transfer such big money you are talking about.
This is complicated because bitcoin is digital currency and everything depends from the site and from how many bitcoins they have in the moment.
