Holding ETH in last 12 months is a huge loss compared holding PIVX or PEPE.  LOL

Thank you. I actually lost a negative amount of money by holding Monero rather than Ethereum.

More than 600-700 bucks. Nothing to say really. All my fault.  Cry

I'm feeling down about my investment decisions.

Well I invested, but I could have invested a bit more. It's safe to say I'd have been roughly $7K ahead if I had put more money in ETH instead of for example PIVX, buut I still made quite a killing with ETH so I'm not too sad.

I have lost nothing because I do not spend anything on ETH.  I will not make an imaginary profit from my what if's ideas.  I do not believe in ETH that is why I do not buy it.  So how could I lose something that I do not have?

"How Much Money Did You Lose NOT Buying ETH?"

I lost exactly zero dollars/btc. You can't lose something that you never owned.

This is what I like to call "Hindsight Investing".

Not even 6 months ago this joint was full of ETH haters and detractors who viciously attacked any ETH believers and voraciously spread lies and FUD to any potential investors. This disgusting gang of sockies was lead from the front by the Grandmaster FUD himself, Spoetniktard. So just how much cold hard crypto cash has his lies cost you in return of investment. To put this into context and to help ease your calculations in January 2017 one ETH would set you back $7.
lol I tried to investing the ICO but got busy and missed it.  Would have invested 10 bitcoin worth, so that's 20,000 ETH.  You can do the math =(

On the bright side I bought some Qtum and it's already up 28x since ICO and I think Qtum will essentially be favored over Ethereum in China so long term hopefully I'll make up for missing out on Ethereum.

Two months ago, I was gonna buy 40 ethereum when its price was around $50. Something I couldn't remember made me busy and I missed that... I missed the profit of $5.000 approximately.

Zero. Just didnt see the gains I wanted from it even at $20. Could have made some, but already made more from my other alt coin investments.

Never heard about pepecash before.. Well honestly i was regretting to sell my ethereum when the price of $14 usd before that honestly i could'nt imagine that the price can be touch at what the price today..
I am holding of many different altcoin but i am still regret like ethereum that can give us huge profit if we stay holding them.. for now it is hardly to decide to invest in ethereum since the price is really high.. and i think the price is always increase happen everytime the bitcoin is halving issue about the fee and many unconfirmed transactions..

Zero and that will be zero into Infinity . Eth is crème de la crap. Zero respect.

Its is going up and up and up! Cant argue with that. Unless you don't like profit.

maybe 10 maybe 20 BTC . But we need to focus on the future instead of looking at the past .
yes that is very right we should not lament for what has happened either we get profit or lost but now we need to focus on our future, as still there are so many opportunities to make more and more profit. just need to give good time.

Ether is doing a good price spike. But an an investment, it has one huge weakness that the monetary assets do not have: Its value derives from meta-assets which are effectively businesses.

That is floating value which can work as well on one smart contract blockchain as another, so investing in the underlying token doesn't actually invest you in those businesses directly and the value of your holdings (at least against, say bitcoin) is exposed to volatility from technological competition.

This is not the case with monetary assets such as BTC, LTC, DASH, PPC, XMR etc. They are held for a monetary premium (monetary value over utility) that effectively cements their role as a store of value and nothing else.

Conclusion:

 • Technology assets (the smart contract blockchains) are good for short term gains, but may not hold their value due to always being subject to MySpace --> Facebook syndrome so you need to know when to get out.

 • Monetary assets are likely to have far more longevity. Like investing in gold in the 1950's would still have been a good move 50 years later, whereas investing in electronic typewriters might have made you rich at the time but not if you'd stayed in that asset for 50 years

You ask me how much money I've lost, I think it's impossible to estimate, and probably lost an opportunity to be financially free
yes that is right to estimate it correctly but still i will like to add that i lost nothing becaust at that time i had invested in bitcoin and i really madu a good profit from there which i think even cannot expect from any other crypto aly coin .

@FAILCommunity
The typical "thinking" of Mindlesscache clown. With that "thinking" you can also blame Vitalik for selling 25% of his coins probably a year ago. Tell me how much did he lost, stupido?! We're in the middle of a bubble and Ethereum can be compared with Ripple - all of these projects are for the fiat money involved (just see how many crowdsales and ICOs based on ETH we have). Be their cheerleader, but don't blame others being stupid, because you already proved yourself to be among the stupidest people in this forum! I already told you that your IQ equals room temperature, but now I think it's even less than that...
