i don't think that Doge coin will ever die because of its community but at the same time it does not have the potential to grow. not because of lack of innovation or starting as a joke, no the biggest reason for that is the fact that there is 103 Billion Doge created and is being created each day.
I notice this argument about the 100 billion supply coming up every now and then, but I don't think it's valid.
What matters to investors is the market cap,and more specifically, the change in the market cap over time.

BING!

Doge has $20M locked down.  And will likely track between BTC and LTC marketcap ups & downs.

Sorry ETH heads if the muppets can't understand da Doge, then there is no way they will use geth-gas-whatever, and same for BTS, ripples, and NXT super things.  And dash is a fanboy club.

Doge is Sesame St. level with training wheels intro to crypto, and the solid Doge investors will watch marketcap, and play the slow cycle of buy low sell high at satoshi levels.  In short it is a game, and even fun to play.

anyone that lacks the vision to see that Doge has a solid hold of #3 real world application use as digital currency is blind.
in fact i would say it takes #2, hence reason why the Lee Bros. added it to the LTC network.
sure there will be hot stocks, as in like a DAC, but da doge is being used to do money-like things.

again
it is not price
it is MC

I doubt Doge can survive that long, nowadays doge is seldom being mentioned, but for now doge still more famous than other alt currency, so my prediction is after 5 years it will become 0.00000030 and next 10 years it will become history

It's likely going to become history sooner then 10 years.

There's definitely a chance it won't exist in 10 years, but if you go over to reddit and see the supporters they have there, it's kind of incredible.  Can't really spend them anywhere.

Actually the doge community on reddit do a lot of spending and it's used a lot for tipping and micro transactions because the fee is so low.

Given how many billion doge are in existence, it's amazing that the price holds pretty steady between about 40 and 60 satoshis. I think it's a coin that will last. It's litecoin that is in danger because no-one actually uses it.

LTC has 5 times the daily volume as Doge. Beats me why to be honest, I think neither LTC and DOGE offers anything special.

Litecoin might have a lot of volume on the exchanges. But in terms of transactions outside the exchanges, doge is used much more. Take a look at the following:

https://bitinfocharts.com/

In the last 24 hours doge had 12,537 transactions, but litecoin had only 4,144.

Both LTC and Doge both serve as great currencies. Yeah they're not 2.0 coins. However they work great as they are. Adoption is all they need.

Let's keep in mind the 2.0 coins have no real world usage yet at all to speak about in terms of adoption. Some of the more techno minded here even state categorically that a lot of the 2.0 coins are all hype and that they can NEVER function at a real world usage level. This includes ethereum. Let's see how it can scale to 1000's of users or even millions. There are some here with greater knowledge than most of us who say it simply can not work.

You do realise that either LTC or doge could at a whim turn themselves into whatever they like? If they want to switch to masternodes they can, if they want to go to an ethereum base they could do it. A coin has no limitations only that what the community wants it to have or what the dev can not code.

You just want to build a big community first then once you have that you can do anything the community wants.

Doge has a huge community it just does not use this board much which is a mistake i think.

I actually worried that doge wil not survive long enough, there are a lot of people say that doge is just a joke (don't take me wrong, i support doge and trade it regularly) and though its experienced quite a high increasement a few weeks ago, its rate is now stuck at (when I made this post) 56-57ish. Its rate is fluctuating around that number and never passing above 60.
Doge has been a lot lower too! I've seen it go up and down a few times, so I made some (small) buy and sell orders if either one happens.

https://coinmarketcap.com/ shows a Market Cap of $22.4M, while Clams is worth only $1.3M. Amazingly I hear/read/see a lot more about Clams than about Doge. So yeah, I believe Doge will last longer. 5-10 years is not that long, it could very well be worth about the same as it is worth now.

Dogecoin has usage has a tipping currency on reddit and some other places.
The transaction fee for Doge is about 1% of the Bitcoin-fee, which makes it perfect for small transactions. In Bitcoin you pay around $0.05 on fee if you want any speed, which makes small transactions expensive.

Dogecoin has usage has a tipping currency on reddit and some other places. There was talk once on integrating it with youtube. I think dogecoin will still be around in some form or another 10 years done the line.

The average number of coins bought and sold in trades is a cosmetic issue, and actually it could be argued that it's better to have something like 10K doge rather than 0.005 of a unit of currency, because people in general aren't very good with math, in particular when it comes to decimal values less than one. Maybe if the supply was in the trillions or quadrillions, then it could have a negative impact due to the annoyance of dealing with very large numbers for small values in dollar terms, but in the current state it seems to be more of a positive.

5% is not bad considering the rate of growth in cryptocurrencies, ETH has a higher inflation rate and that apparently didn't stop the hordes of buyers. It could be changed to a lower value like 2% in the future if necessary.

Well with doge, the confirmation time is pretty damn quick.  And also there's no need for all of the decimal BS.  Those are two things I really like about doge.

Zero.

Unless crypto has taken over by then and Doge is what they use to teach kids how to use crypto, in which case, lots.

It is not possible to predict, because altcoin market as new and developing market is constantly changing, so real prediction can be up to 6 months, or max 1 year and not more.  Wink
