In five years I think my prediction is going to fall close to Op's. From the history of ripple, it has not done such height so doing $5 in next 5 years is a good ride as it is not actually performing

But what about the unfinished SEC problems, I'm sure the case will take a long time. Can Ripple win it? If yes it might be up to $5 but if not I think it will be difficult.

I don't think the ripple sec issue will have much negative effect on the price not to grow if the team still active till next five years because recently against the prediction on ripple, it still pumped as the bull run was on.

Ripple can not win that obvious lawsuit, ripple CEO uses his own ripple which is not his and sold it to generate over $1.3 billion, that is obvious lawsuit he can not win, but even if ripple did not win it, there are chances investors from Africa and Asia will support the coin but it's growth with still be significantly affect negatively. If ripple lose the case, expect its price to come down very low again, but if won, many US investors that have sold their ripple will buy back which will increase ripple price above $1 imminent to after the lawsuit is over.
I still do not understand about the lawsuit, how much are they going to pay if they lose the case?
why would U.S consider crypto as security while the other countries do not consider it as one? the worst case they only need to move out from the U.S and everything will be fine.
also that was not the first time they were selling it, right?
I am not fan of Ripple but it still has a potential to go up, maybe after we have finished our current bullrun.

Ripple could be at $5 in 5 years. The fact that it is not growing like the other cryptos is because Ripple does not lose its hold on mining XRP tokens. Ripple Labs takes a majority of the stake in mining XRP tokens and until it gives that much stake to the people, it will not grow. Besides this, people are looking for other cryptos that are booming in the market like Litecoin, Ethereum, Cardano, and many more. Ripple stands no chance to beat them at present because it is not performing well for the last few years. Still, it can grow with time.

I don't think so it would have to be in that accurate value of $5 each of ripple, but I've read some shared thoughts that it probably hits the optimum price of $3.6 per xrp. However, we still have an unpredictable market and nobody knows how could it be possible in the next few years. Given that there's a bigger chance, I don't think so everybody could handle patience on their asset without being panic.

I'm not sure if XRP can reach $5 in 5 years. When the bullish hits the market in the last month XRP can not achieve $1 while some altcoins reaching all time high.. Predicting XRP to reach $5 in the next 5 years I think it's impossible because the supply is huge and many investors not comfortable to invest this coin because of centralized, maybe still less $1 price in 5 years..

It could be, it could be not. What I'm worried still is that one of the co-founders of Ripple is selling off continuously. I'm not sure if he always does it, but it's entirely of a negative impact for me knowing that one of them is doing it every month, IIRC.

Maybe you can find another altcoin that you can invest in. If you factor in the last five years of different coins, they increased in value for sure.

Just make sure that whatever you are investing in, you are willing to lose it.
The fact is that the Ripple team constantly deceives its investors in this way. They artificially increase the prices of the coin, and then sell a certain amount of their assets on time. The company really has a lot of problems and why not choose another altcoin for investment and I recommend Ethereum, which should show good results in the near future, given the processes that are taking place on the network. In any case, ETH is safer than Ripples.

BTC and Ethereum already gone to new heights and Ripple stayed where it is.
$1 that was predicted a year ago is still not achieved.

But hey, $0.5 is not a bad number considering there is 45B coins circulating.
That's still worth a lot right? I won't expect for $5 though. It's just too far.

In my opinion, it is very difficult to predict the future of any coin and everything we comment on is very speculative and relative. Even with the facts you mention, there are still many unknowns about Ripple's future, because the legal problems with the SEC are just beginning and it is not yet known in which direction they will go.

But you may be right about the reasons why Ripple hasn't made as much of a jump as some of the other coins listed.

IMHO, I believe that no one can tell exactly what will be the price of Ripple's XRP coin price after 5 years, All that we can do is just speculate, by the way, Ripple's SEC problem could bring a serious threat to the XRP price stability, and thats more complicated especially that the face-off between Ripple's legal team vs. the SEC so let us wait to see what was it's all about.
