its a good advice and we can see that the price is fluctuation for up and down too often but we need to wait for the good moment so we can enter in the market to buy and sell the coins. until now, i think i am not make a big profit in trading although i see i am stuck in small coins with small price and i see on poloniex, there are a list of the coins that want to be delete from the list.
Well not certain with the earning part as also the loses do take place with the swings the btc moves around. Some time you earn it and when it falls it is much quicker then the rise and sudden fall leaves you tremble with the value of btc. So overall its being a roller coaster ride with something atleast to cheer about is in the end got something in profit only.

I remember way way way back in around 2014, I was really interested in trading with Bitcoin. I woke up every day and constantly monitored the prices before I had to go to work. I think I ended up with a profit of around +$100 (which was a lot for me since I just started and invested around $5. I stopped trading awhile ago as I have to catch up in my studies and that trading is sort of risky.
For how many years you earn the 100$ out of your initial investment of 5$? And what altcoins you trade that gaves you a lot of profit? I think it is not easy to made that profit on trading because there are so many shitcoins out there. The ponzi is starting to convert on shitcoin nowadays.
if you bought 0.2 bitcoin in 5 or 6 years ago it might worth to $5 only
and then you keep trade it until reach 0.5 bitcoin
while bitcoin price follows moving up to $200 per 1 bitcoin , so if you sell that 0.5 bitcoin you'll get $100, that was the power of bitcoin.

Yes it is unpredictable job when we are flow of trading we cannot able to calculate how much we are loosing and how much we are gaining but only thing we have to remember is how much we have invested and how much we are making we have to find that is easier for us instead of how much we are loosing. Because out of all investment we cannot able to make profit but only in some, so it will vary so we cannot able to keep track those things.
