55, sold all my PMs last year and switched to bitcoins.

I use to own & program an Elf computer with 256 bytes of ram in my younger days. You would use 8 switches for the address bus and 8 more for the data, another switch to toggle the ram write line. Do this for each byte of your program. You had to think in binary. Another switch to start running things. My display was a pair of 8 segment LEDs.

I'm 67 and not very good on the comp but I see the promise in the bitcoin mathamatics.

I hope when I am 67 I am not so "Set in my ways" and I am willing to explore new thoughts and ideas, so bravo to you!  So many people get to a point in their lives where they seem to be stuck it seems and not want to learn anything.

Sorry for digging up this old vote, but I wonder if the demographic has changed much these days.

Would it be OK to post a similar poll? Im curious, young people tend to be more optimistic in my view (I'm middle aged) and I wonder if there are now more people my age getting involved with crypto currency.

Making a thread now!

Will bitcoin ever go mainstream with people currently over ~55?
Answer:
It would have to get extremely popular (like Facebook)
Long-term: The current group of young people will teach the next generation.
