Thug for life!
Damn kids in this forum.  Go and get a job.
that`s right man...but children today know more than we knew their age ...they have access to any information today

Exactly and the children are introducing bitcoins to their parents. And that is best thing about the younger generation they are willing to take risk and they are also willing to learn something new and advanced so I believe this just an beginning of a new era.

Its actually fun to see kids in the forum dealing and trying to understand the community at some point, it keeps the bitcoin adoption to all levels, most of us adopted new technologies we still use today as we where in high school, think for a fact how we started to use the computer if you in fact started from being a kid doing how work on the internet.

Just knowing bitcoin last year  ( about 24 yo) and I know about bitcoin from my office friend on my workplace. On the first glance , I'm not interest with bitcoin at all. But once my friend explained that he can turn bitcoin into my local currency by doing simple task and get paid bitcoin. And I were shocked on that time because I can earn bitcoin with a simple task on that day ( Voting some altcoin for Mintpal   Smiley)

True.
Hopefully the children of tomorrow will have access to ALL information without it being sensored.
I believe, that is something the blockchain technology (distributed database) can make happen.

The correct question should be not how old you be while Bitcoin was created but if you were conscious enough about what was going on back then.
It does not matter know how old are you but how soon you realized that bitcoin will be groundbreaking technology and you could be a part of that revolution.

Smiley Then i was a 13 year old ugly boy who studied 9th class. I don't even used computer at that time. But after 2 years from 2009 (i.e., 2011) i directly  started using internet without having a proper computer knowledge Grin, then i got my own lappy with internet connection a year later  Cool . Unfortunately, i came to know about bitcoins by last november (2014) and started using since this january (2015).

How old were you when Satoshi Nakamoto published the Bitcoin White Paper in 2009? I wont be able to tell you how old am I when the white paper was published. I was only a kid when it happen. Back then, I am a boy with no internet access. I only started to "lurk" around the internet a year after the white paper was published. Even if I have internet access back then, I would not know about Bitcoin because I am a kid. I rather play game on Miniclip than reading ..

i was 18 years old and didn't even know about bitcin back them, what a shame...

now i am into bitcoin more than ever and holding for the future.

I was about early 20's. It's kinda frustrating knowing I saw BTC back in 2012 and ignored it because it was linked to criminal activity. I could have been a young mid 20's millionaire... damn, it's pretty depressing. Now i'll have to wait, what, 20 years to become rich off holding my BTCs? It sucks, but that's life. Unless there's a lucky strike in the meantime, I can't do much about it.

LOL when I read this answers I feel like ''very old man''.
Let's sway that I'm over 40 years old.
It's interesting that my sponsor, person who introduce me to bitcoin a few years ago is also kid, only 18 years old.
It seems that the younger generation more easy accept new and revolutionary projects, and are not afraid to try, than older and more cautious users.

Exactly. Younger generation is very tech savvy and can accept and learn new things very quickly and that is the best thing about the youth. As the majority of the population is youth they would not hesitate in learning new things.

I can draw your avatar!
Thanks for making me feel old. I was over thirty then, and am still under forty now, let's just keep it that way Tongue

Nice to see the 'kids' being involved, just like when I started fiddling with computers and rolled into the internet and email era. It is now time for new pioneers to make life of the elderly easier but uncomprehensible. Just like I was proud to show my grandpa I made a 3d version of our house, he nodded politely, did like the pictures but had a hard time understanding it. Just as I will someday have a hard time understanding the kids and the new tech, be it not to soon please!  Grin

Well, those kids making a bit of bitcoin each month may end up with more money than the adults having a proper wage in 10/20 years (if they hold most of it instead of wasting it on the new xbox or whatever).
They'd make more by just working as paper boys and purchasing bitcoins Wink

So, with exception from a few +40 years old, there are mostly kids here...? Perhaps just a coincidence who answers in the thread, but I'm actually surprised that we have 15 year old kids here.
There's a lot of good reasons why the kids outnumber us by a good margin. Just too many newbies come to bitcointalk for "free bitcoins" and since all you usually receive from faucets or signature campaigns is peanuts, people with a job (or a life for that matter) will eventually turn away from this useless pastime. School kids with plenty of time but little to no income on the other hand, well, let's just say they better be hanging around here than in the streets Wink

The real question that matters is, why am I still around? Roll Eyes

Well, someone's gotta take care of them kids, right?

When Satoshi introduced Bitcoin,  I didn't even knew how to use Internet properly.
I was only 12 in 2009.
I come to know about Bitcoin in late 2013 when the prices were sky high and there was an article in newspapers that a man dumped his hard drive and it contained 7600 Bitcoin.
I adopted Bitcoin this year in April when my high school was over.
It is funny, amusing and sad that when I see 12 years old kids nowadays they are experts of using internet, applications or new stuff online I never seen before.
Maybe because they are the google generation, they don't know how to function without internet anymore. Using Bitcoin will be for them as easy as for us paying directly with FIAT.

I would've been 33. I was aware of it in 2009 too. My great age should've given me the wisdom to start mining with my vibrator. I did not. Maybe I was too concerned about being the same age as Jesus when he carked it.
