It turns out your government is indeed brave to provide this golden opportunity, this is a good and beneficial development. Only hope that neighboring countries can do the same thing as your country. Slowly will be able to give that opportunity to bitcoin.

The use of bitcoin in the Philippines continuous to go up and more filipinos are becoming of the new currency that is circulating in the internet. Mainstream bitcoin adoption in this southeast asian nation is rising at an exponential rate, thousands of users, workers and Filipinos abroad are starting to utilize bitcoin to settle remittance payments, utility bills and send payments at lower costs through the use of local bitcoin exchanges. The Philippine government are also looking for some ways to expedite the full adoption of bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies in the future.

It is hard to buy fast food with bitcoin as the transaction times are too slow. Perhaps the food in philipenes is fast but the queuing time is long. Good place for a holiday though

Phillipine is a country where the government has accepted the Bitcoin. Not all the countries in the world are like that. There are still a lot of country where it is completely illegal to even do investment in the crypto market. There are some countries where the adoption process is just starting. Phillpine is doing a great job adopting Bitcoin.

I never knew that this is really happening in our country mate, and i don't have enough idea about the bitcoin atm machine. Those past governments doesn't introduce bitcoin in our country and Filipinos already know the reason behind it.There were negative news about that cause people think that it is a scam or sone sort of a fraud. The concept of decentralization was one of it.

Here we have big blockcha9in conferences in Limassol and some ICOS launched here as well, but I don't yet see many local shops having crypto or Bitcoin signs up, but I think in Limassol mall they put up now a Bitcoin ATM. They are slow here to adopt Bitcoin because there was a scam here years ago promising a crypto bitcoin bank and debit card and they run off with people's money, but slowly confidence is coming back now and there are meetups once a week in Limassol as well, I hope to go to one day to meet up with our whales and blockchain experts there, would be fun, but it's far away from where I live and I don't drive, so would have to go and stay overnight by bus.

The lower fees on the remittance is a huge improvement over services like MoneyGram and Western Union and the people are feeling the impact of that on every global transfer that are done. This might be one of the best ways to increase adoption in every country, but the supporting merchant network has to be strong, to support that.

First world countries tend to focus too much on Bitcoin ATM distribution in their own country and not in emerging 3rd world countries, where it is needed the most.  Angry

It is apparent by now that adopting cryptocurrency especially for countries that need a boost in their economy is beneficial. We know that cryptocurrency is in the early stages but that doesn't mean it lacks the potential in digital currency, if more countries are to adopt cryptocurrency for the economy it would mean great things. We are seeing first hand the results of adoption from Philipines and the benefits it held with that decision. With time we'll hopefully be able to see more.

well thats a positive move for the governmant towards cryptocurrencies, but one should consider that this third party wallet providers are regulated by the government and the central bank of the philippines, but not too tight to attract investors this kind of financial firm. good for the philippines.

Agreed, Most Pilipino uses third party wallet that is regulated by the government because most of us think's it is easier because we can just convert our Bitcoin to PHP and vice-versa. The only problem here is that the government really have the access and also can limit our transaction using this third party wallet.

These innovation and movement were made possible by bitcoin enthusiasts since 2014. Exchanges such as coins.ph have opened a wider gate for the Filipinos to use their bitcoins in numerous places and services which, formerly can only be utilized by paying in fiat. Also, the willingness and openness of the Philippine government towards bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies also helped, albeit their constant reminder to the Filipinos that investing on digital assets is still the Wild West of investments. Though not a pretty sizeable country with a strong economy, the Philippines still see something good in bitcoin rather than just the negatives.

It's good to hear that Philippines have accepted bitcoin and making good use of it. I hope all the countries will adopt this new technology very soon. All we can do is just hope for that day.

I also hope for it. In the Philippines it is easier to do transactions connected to bitcoin at the same time even the pawn shop or something stuffs like this also participated with it. The app is really amazing that is why people in the Philippines do not have a hard time using bitcoin especially doing transactions.

Thats really nice if govt has allowed to trade/use cryptocurrency in Philippines, It will surely boost country's economy, BITCOIN availability will allow people to invest into it, in my country govt still has not legalized any transaction using bitcoin, although a large number of people in our country is trading bitcoin by one or another method but still still out of reach from the common people, I hope govt one day will realize the power of blockchain and will accept it.

Yes. Philippines adopting not just only bitcoin but other cryptos very well. People in there makes every crypto a good one in a sense that most of them using it now as a currency in buying, paying and investing in different things. Cryptos image in Philippines is good and I can say that it is very positive. Most of the people nowadays are into it when it comes earning profits.

now every country has begun to open its eyes to the importance of crypto currency to overcome the economic problems that are being faced, I think the philippine's move to accept the existence of bitcoin is good news because it will open up space for Filipino citizens to be able to access bitcoin freely , and of course this will affect the progress of the Philippines economy to be better.

My country is nowhere near this. We still have a long way to go because there is nowhere to spend your bitcoin unless you first convert it to fiat currency. In fact, i am impressed with the level of improvement in bitcoin adoption by the Philippines.

Very well, the Philippines is approaching bitcoin slowly and very effectively. They do not impose mandatory regulations on electronic money that they create the most favorable conditions for people to develop bitcoin. This is the most effective way to change an economy and help people get access to new technology. I believe Bitcoin will be very developed in the Philippines in the future.
