Hello,

As with all exchange, it's hard to say if it's truely safe or not. In fact, this is safe until a hacker proves it's not  Grin And sometimes, even if a hacker steal some coins, it can be discovered a long time after the hack.

If you want to hold your coin in the long term, you should remove these from an exchange whatever is this exchange. The past has proven that all exchange will be hacked at least once, if it hasn't been already done. That doesn't mean the exchange will have to be shut down, but it's always better to avoid to trust other "useless" parties.

At the moment, the risk is minimal. But the situation can change very quickly. Therefore, if you keep coins for a long time and do not trade, it is better to store them on the appartnom purse. And never store all the eggs in one basket.

Bittrex is probably the most trusted exchange on the market, alongside binance, but bittrex has been around considerably longer.

Despite this, it is still recommended to invest in a hardware wallet, because with centralized exchanges, there are always risks.

Make sure to turn on 2fa and check for viruses regularly

Hi guys , i have a lot of digibyte on my bittrex account but is it safe ? how big is the chance that i lost it ?

If you have not verified, and have no intention of verifying, expect to never see those coins again, Bittrex have stolen from me, holding my coins ransom until such time I legitamise a terrorist organisation masquerading as guberment, by begging them for some ID to share with those extortionists, which will never happen...

And they are ignoring my support tickets for over a week now...

Not wise depositing with them, if you have no ID and or wish to remain anonymous...

No need to bother about it buddy. Your fund in the form of Digibyte will be safe bro. If the value increases in the bitrex, you please sell it and buy some potential coins in market like ADA, TRX or IOTA.
You will get the profit on daily basis instead of holding as a single coin in the bitrex.
I personally exchange the coins in livecoin or changelly and save those coins on the coinpayments wallet. That would support multiple alts dude.

Bittrex is one of the trading platform that I trust and use for trading and for me it is fine to store your Bitcoins or altcoin there but only for short period of time, because even there are some exchanges that are trustworthy, you can not remove the fact that they are prone to hacking because they hold huge amount of cryptocurrencies. If you are planning to hold your Digibyte for long term investment, you should have a hardware wallet or wallet that you have the full control of your private key and just send it back to exchange whenever you plan to sell it.

I think it's pretty safe, but never leave funds on exchanges. Always withdraw them out, as exchanges are definitely a huge target for hackers as they can get away with a huge amounts of money when they successfully hack an exchange. People in the past thought MtGox was safe, well, look what happened. Don't let history repeat itself.

The exchange itself is reputable and exists a few years now but there is no guarantees about inside jobs, hacks etc. and that's why you need to use it for trading purposes only and not for storing your funds, you need to control your private keys at all times.

Thanks for the information
