yes I agree with you the security of bitcoin is very guaranteed. we can store our bitcoin in the deep freeze by using private key. no one can access it so safe. most people lose their bitcoin because of their own carelessness like lost private key.

Those hacking incidents had happened because of the fault of exchanges. All the exchanges should have good bug bounty programs to encourage people to submit possible vulnerabilities on their websites.

Bitcoin is strong in many ways, it is secure since the wallet id keeps changing which puts it at a big advantage over the bank accounts which have the same id , bitcoin wallets don't ask you for you personal information so you are always hidden from potential hacks that can steal your personal data and that what makes it different to the banks.

well. bitcoin is no doubt a very strong currency in every form.. it is the strongest currency among the web, and the security of bitcoin is also very strong. as op said his friend think someone can hack the bitcoin with just a calculator. I don't think it is possible to hack bitcoin just like that.

The majority thinks so because there is no central authority to secure BTC like in case of fiat currency. BTC proof of work consensus algorithm is strong enough to secure the BTC blockchain, the only way someone can hack your BTC is my exploiting vulnerabilities found in your BTC wallets. If BTC is not secure then it must have been died by now.

If Bitcoin becomes weak, the price for it does not become a stable. After the last drop, and then because of hacking interventions, level of bitcoin bit crawled, but it was not his fault at all. Perhaps if it were not these problems, then the price has already exceeded $ 1k for btc.

What about altcoins and tokens? Those types of coins are also usefull and they do also have their unique characteristics that you wont find in bitcoin.

bitcoin isnt the only coin that will remain on the market. there are many new coins that has been built every single day and most of them do also have a potential and can probably become the next bitcoin someday.

Wallets currently cannot be hacked by just calculating on a normal computer. These is a threat in the future with quantum computers that are in development (not near completion yet btw) that could in fact hack into your wallet. However you must know that if you keep your coins in the cold wallet you are absolutely safe. Unless someone beats you on the street and steals it from you and makes u tell the passwords.
