Banks have drafted a system for themselves, that people just need to have a bank account to keep their funds/valuable properties safe. Banks do businesses with people's money, and they make enough. This makes them pay their staffs well. Some banks are also into real estate and some industalized business. These are few of the ways of  which banks make their money.

How do you think banks make money, how does a bank make money to pay its employees and business operational?
Does the bank rely solely on interest on loans from banks?

Banks are businesses. I consider  banks as the most extorting business ever. They have diverse means of making profits, some of which you mentioned above. One of their diberce tricks is to charge bank fees. They charge customers fees for services to do with managing their accounts, and earn money from bank charges levied on overdrafts which exceed agreed limits.

Banks have other means of generating income apart from interest on loans. They regularly charge for sms alerts, services such as ATM maintenance, teller services, checking statements and account balance, interbank transfer of funds, withdrawing from any ATM different from the holder's bank and so on. They are really making a lot of money.

The bank does not rely on interest accrued from loans alone. There are so many other ways they make money such as deductions from customers accounts for text messages, printing of statements, cheque books, account maintenance fees, etc.

The bank is home to money or a savings and loan place for every customer who borrows at interest, it is possible that the interest is all for the bank administration to pay salaries and so on
We all know bank is where we save money, quite alright, but that money you save and the reason they compel you to save it is because it is useful for the daily operation of the bank when it comes to utilizing it for other reasons to generate revenue.

Some of this includes the amount of interest they get on loan which is actually the major area banks get a lot of money from. They also tend to invest outside this, like in the area of mortgage securities, treasury bonds, and for those who may be operating mutual funds as an investment product, they can even use that money to invest in stocks.

In my country, banks make so much money. They take deposits from customers and offer very poor rate. They loan same deposits out at a far higher rate. They charge you for virtually everything you need from them. They charge you for fund transfer, safe custody, request for statement of account and confirmation.

Banks are identical with interest and ordinary people generally know that banks earn income and profits from interest charged to credit customers. However, aside from interest income, there are still many sources of bank income that are categorized as non-interest income. Cooperative customers who apply for working capital loans or investment loans for productive purposes with asset guarantees are generally charged lower interest rates than individual loans. The Bank also charges different interest rates for each debtor in accordance with the credit rating and debtor's ability to pay.

The main income of the bank is the income from the loan interest rate difference!
By paying lower interest rates, banks consolidate public deposits and distribute them to people with financial needs and charge interest.

banking makes money through funds deposited by customers, then the funds deposited by the customer are played back by banks for lending to borrowers, then the borrowers are required to pay interest on the money they have borrowed at the bank, well from the loan interest banks get income to be used to pay employees and other operations.  correct me if im wrong  Grin

indeed one of the biggest income banks is from interest but much more bank income apart from interest such as insurance policy, administration fee every month, from auction market, home and vehicle loan financing and many more.

Truly is,that those who had mentioned is the way banks making their money, but i think one of the most important we must learn is banks uses our money in other form of business that generates them income.this is the sad reality that we as depositors whos trusting them our money received so tiny profit or interests while they earn alot by using our own money..thats why we're lucky having cryptocurrency because this gives us another option to put our money and generates larger amounof profit if we wil only learn how to deal with this

The bank pays its employees through service income and interest income. For service income, which means when someone sends money to another bank.

This is very simple. The bank uses the very low interest rate to let the poor save the poor and ensure the safety of the poor. Then borrow a lot of money from the rich or the middlemen, so the interest charged is many times. Banks rely on this to survive.

simply the bank gets money from its own customers, customers save their money in banks and banks attract administrative fees from there this includes borrowing, deposits and other facilities including ATMs and internet banking, but even so this is very beneficial for customers because customers get security guarantees for the money they save

Investment banks connect buyers and sellers in different markets. For this service, they charge a commission for successful transactions. The trades range from megadeals to simple stock trades. Investment banks are designed to finance or facilitate trade and investment on a large scale. But that is a simple look at how investment banks make money. There are a lot of things for what they really do. When operating effectively, these services make the market laxer, reduce uncertainty and eliminate inefficiencies by flattening the spread.

I must say that for so many depositors of a bank, they put these depositor's money into businesses and investments as well.  The profit they are getting from it are the ones they provide for the salaries of their employees and the interests for their clients.  It is just like a give and take thing business banks are doing.  This is just my opinion.
Yeah! That is usually the idea, as is one of the reasons why they would rather want you to leave your savings for so long without touching it and also give you something in return for that. Banks have other investments, from trade, to affiliation with some investment backed organizations, interest from loans which I believe is the main source and every other thing that surrounds investment as a whole. Banks make a lot of money from our savings, but they still do not value us for that anyway.

One is that they are using that money for lending and putting high interest on that money.

In my own opinion they are not creating money but they are earning to support the salary and other benefits of their employee was the interest ,lending, fees ( like account, ATM, Penalty, commissions, application fees), loans and many more. Banks was to brainy for earning money just like embracing cryptocurrency in their business.

I don't think they already embrace crypto currency as in fact they're still doubtful about this though I heard some banks had partnered to an ICO but it doesn't mean they already acknowledge this plus they just following orders from Central Bank.

Banks are more likely profit from their investors and stock holders and the money they profited is use to circulate throughout company.
