If you use your own signature, I do not think the result is maximal. Coins need a lot of professional teams. It's very basic that the coins will be sold.You can not work alone, this is bad advice.

Good advice, bounty campaign is a good way to let more people know your alt coin and it is better for the dev team to do it. For example airdrop or social bounty campaign are both ok.
You do need a certain budget to do marketing, but marketing cost is normally quite costly because you do need to maintain it for a period of time in order to see the result. Making a signature or bounty campaign for your coin is really helps you alot to advertise your coin and hiring a campaign manager if you didn't know how to manage bounty threads and ANN thread, Translating bounty too helps you to get a investor so they are aware on your coin in different local thread and giving away coins helps you but it affects the price of the coin due to dumping their free coin.

See the alt coin bitcedi which has no value. Anyone in digital note would have no reason to switch and I'm not a Dev myself sadly.
