I have a relative that suffered from depression and worst she committed suicide. She left a note saying that she want to end the pain she feels inside and asking for forgiveness to her mom. Her mom is working abroad, she is an only child from a broken family.

We should take depression seriously because it can trigger for someone to take his/her life to end the pain. Its a must that we have someone to talk to on what we have been going through. Make ourselves busy but still has time to relax to relieve stress. Every problem has a solution thus stay positive and enjoy life.

Find a new and exciting activity, that's the only way! I've never had a depression that I haven't been pulled out of by a "new quest" or an adventure from my friends

Just be with Positive People , Never be with the group of people that has more negativity .

The problem of those who has suffering from depression is that they are engaging in people with has many problem in life that they also absorb .

Is there really no cure for depression??... I have a friend who suffers from this condition. She always cry and always feel lonely without any other reasons or whatsoever and I always ask her whats wrong. I just dont think she deserves to have that, nobody does. I just dont thing avoiding it is the answer anymore. Im always there for her every time she is like that. Always listens to every thing she rants about coz I know how she might feel being alone just inside her head. I dont want her being alone anymore.

Do something for yourself that you have been putting off for a long time!

For example, cleaning out the apartment, cleaning out clothes, or just simply rearrange furniture and buy/seed a new houseplant.
It is only important that this is done for yourself without extrinsic motivation.
The beginning is difficult, but then you get wind in your sails again.

and of course walking and gossiping with friends

1. find a hobby to keep you busy
2. do regular sports (including regular sex)
3. have healthy habits (including diet)
4. ensure you have enough money to sustain you, your family and your hobbies

Get enough sleep, eat well, and exercise regularly. Reach out to family and friends when times get hard. Get regular medical checkups, and see your provider if you don't feel right. Get help if you think you're depressed.

Join a group where you can talk to other people and take out what you have within. You need to let go your negative thoughts to be better. Have fun and enjoy your life.

As a victim before I can say, the natural ways you can avoid depression are;
     
 1. Avoid being alone.
 2. Always be in an entertaining company.
 3. Avoid hard drugs, it doesn't help at all.
 4. Learn to love, take a walk, and do some engagements.
 5. Clear your thoughts from negativety.
 6. Lastly draw closer to God, above all  PRAY.🤲

Whatever is the cause of problem that you are getting stressed on see can you find a solution to it. Is it your mistake and can you fix it. If none is the answer than nothing much is in your hand and you need to change you focus and mind into something else to come out of it.

With too many activities that I have from day to day and things have to be done through the new normal, getting enough sleep is my struggle.  But I know that someday, I'll get enough of it.

Thanks for the reminder about going to gym or exercising. This will make my body tired and sure to give me good sleep, nice idea.
It's my pleasure and I also wish that you will overcame your depression.
A little by little, I'm dealing with it and maybe in the next days or weeks or months, I've totally overcome it.

But for now, I know how to handle it on my own and luckily that it didn't have to go through a lot and make myself put into a bad situation because of its difficulty dealing with it.

Most importantly thing to do if you are feeling depressed at least for me is to make myself stay active.   
This is going to be harder cause of Covid but as long as you have access to internet there are plenty of ways to keep yourself busy. 
Exercising outside and talking with your friends is a good way to avoid depression.

Seems like you are a calm Type of person as all your hobbies are Time consuming and Needs focus and dedication.

I have Cat as well , and having Plants since the pandemic starts ,and use to be a Bookworm when i was in my earlydays.

You guessed right about me. Guessing personality from hobbies, isn't it great!

These are some rules below to avoid depression:
*getting enough sleep and rest
*learning to say “no” to additional demands
*taking breaks from work
*practicing breathing exercises and meditation
*getting regular exercise
How about adding up talking to your friends and family being open to them might really help you,
You could get the support or comfort that you really need most of the depressed likes to keep it secet and fight alone with it,
That is why some of them fail and results to taking their own life.

1. Don't cling on to the past
2. Exercise
3. Go out, explore, visit nature
4. Diet, cut sugar, bad habits.
5. Do regular sleep.
6. Try something new, or hobby you lest aside ages ago.
7. Surround yourself with positive people.

I always get lack of sleep and that's the reason why my emotional being isn't well. I feel sometimes not good and thinking that my life isn't that good and I've probably going into the worse of my life.

I thought at first that depression is easy to deal with until I've experienced it and I've felt the hardship of overcoming it, alone. Yeah, alone. I'm good already and I can deal with it on my own through doing things that I like and hopefully, I can get enough sleep which what I really want.
A good sleep is very essential for good mental health. So I think if you sleep properly then your problem will solve mostly. Also you can join gym that's really help you for overcame your depression.
