You should always remember OP that earning merits is not the sole basis that makes you a useful forum member. As long as you give your best and you’re making quality posts, which means what you posts have high-quality contents, then you can consider yourself useful and productive. The most important thing here is you are always stating facts, particularly if those were from your experiences that made your post very convincing.

I like keeping it simple and it's good you've asked for it that way too. My suggestion to you is to always have in mind that your posts contribute something meaningful that can help someone/community whenever you're making them. Don't just post for the sake of increasing your activity count. If you do that, you won't be posting from a place of conscience and that won't be aiding your rating in the eyes of watchers here.

you can only contribute out of your wealth of knowledge, there's no magic, do your research and personal development. Be more intentional about gaining knowledge on Bitcoin and all it entails, read, ask questions, watch videos, that way you can easily dish out what you now.

There are so many ways to be more productive in this forum. One way to become a more useful user of forums is to have knowledge and experience in areas related to the topic of the forum. This will allow you to provide more in-depth and useful insights to other users. Participate actively in discussions. Don't just read existing threads or questions, but be active in discussions by providing useful feedback or answers. You can also ask questions or provide constructive feedback to help other users.

The OP got off to a pretty bad start on the forums. he is only focused on the bounty campaign. but maybe now he is starting to realize that focusing on bounty campaigns is not going to make themselves grow with the information that continues to grow.

You can't rush things to become more useful in this forum. We all start from scratch until we can contribute to the forum with everything we know, what we find and give advice. In order for you to that is to become knowledgeable by learning first and more reading plus you should also be updated with the news or when there is something new. You could also correct some people who made mistakes and tell them where or which part they are wrong in order for them to learn just as much how you learn from the start.

It seems that you know well how everything works here, so you should not invent anything new, just communicate, see who asks what, maybe you will help someone solve his issue with advice, or in some other way. Be yourself, this is the best thing you can do, no need to try to please someone in something, communication will be enough for this forum to continue to exist.

I can not agree that your usefulness to the forum begins with joining. There are a lot of users, who come here aiming only to ask one or two questions, which concern them (it often happens that the answers to these questions have long been published and discussed, but these newbies create a bunch of new topics, thereby spamming) or those who are looking for easy money, not wanting to delve into how the forum and its community work.

In order for someone to be useful to this forum and the forum community, he must first have certain knowledge and experience, which takes time and effort.

Just be yourself and only attend to posts you know you have quality discussion to contribute into so as to avoid spamming, in other words, it's not compulsory you that you have to take part in almost every post in the forum you come across, by keep this mindset it will help you avoid breeding spamming and low quality posts in the forum which is something frown at by the community members. Furthermore, some members mentioned that you have been bounty hunting, you better stop as bounty hunters are regarded as unserious fellows in the forum based on a widely accepted believe that they are not here in the interest of the forum but for the bounty only.

Always be active and helpful in responding to question maybe by rendering them so simple tips. If someone asked of any material or questions you know you can get them directives to what they needed.
However you can be neutral by just answering questions you know very well and skip those you don't know, because if by creating a quality post you may not please everyone since their evaluation and yours can never be the same. Meaning whatever post you take to be quality may not be quality to other user due to pattern of evaluation. Just stay away from copy and paste at all cost create your personal post instead of getting it elsewhere.

There is no straight way to be more resourceful in this community. Do not over stress yourself in order to impress people that you want to be resourceful.
In fact, the forum has many people that are helping, I don't think that it is even needs more. You trying to help is a kind of improving yourself.
So, do not be over desirous as you may destroy your account by committing plagiarism, by making people to ignore you.

My advice to you is to find a special way to get passionate about the forum and that is by being yourself, understanding your core essence and improving on it from there, you would find it naturally to help people in the forum and develop yourself.

OP is not a newbie to forums. he is still part of the old members who are farmers accounts. what he is doing now is not to improve the quality of his posts, but to beg for Merit.
he is first active on the forum for the bounty campaign. just look at the history of the post, you will not see anything better for you to give Merit.

complying with all forum rules is a mandatory for everyone here, but it is not enough to be usefull. Every single person has their own capabilities to be usefull. Do not force yourself, you can start by helping other members with their problems, example = other newbie can not sign their wallet then if supposed, you ever read how to do it by tutorial / guide thread on this forum. You can give your help by sending the guide or just explain it with your own words what you ever read.

Op welcome to the forum and no further a do like what other user here in forum says you must stick to a thread you will expertise as we all know that if you share your ideas and gives some tips to the specific topic that you are expert is a big help to everyone of us. And also being a Useful to the forum you must follow the rules and regulations and don't you try to break it because it will lead you to perma ban.

I agree with you that he has to be knowledgeable first before he can interact with the seniors,  interacting with seniors to me was so amazing but later I found out that almost all of my posts with them was been deleted. To be useful to the forum is just like how you are useful in your own home, for anyone to be useful at home is when performing home activities following the law guiding your home. Forum is like home to me and I have to follow the instructions given to me by the forum laws. Contribution to the forum is by educating others about what you know of which they don't know.

Maybe he should skip the part where he will need to be more active in discussions with seniors, there is obviously nothing wrong with that if he does it but it will be better for him to first make himself knowledgeable enough to start making posts and take part in discussions, otherwise, he might end up earning a place for himself among the spammers' pool.

Gaining knowledge shouldn't only be done through the forum, some users tend to believe that they will learn everything from here and they don't look at other sources, that is wrong, you need to explore everything on the internet for what interests you. If it's Bitcoin, go ahead and read everything you can about it and that will only increase your knowledge.

I've felt great benefits from participating in contests that are always held in this forum, so I agree with your suggestion on the OP. Besides that, participating in every contest that appears is like honing skills. but there's nothing wrong with trying to learn new things, especially technical matters because that's what gives many benefits to the forum members.

Just don't use my style. I managed 4 as a merit so far. Not that I care much.
Even lesser so when I saw a thread here in Bitcointalk were those merits were sold.  

Well I do live in a third-world country, but jeez, I would prefer my productivity at my 9-5 work. If people are really up for the money, freelancing would be better for them and most likely they would end up earning more in there even if it was a data entry. That's from my experience in working in Upwork though.

Well, some folks here treat this forum exactly like that - like their workplace, especially those coming from third world countries (not throwing shade at anyone). But hey, who can blame them? If we want to be more productive and also useful for this forum, just do what is allowed and suggested and don't do what is prohibited like plagiarism, shit posting, and others. As long as we want to continue to be active here, learn and try to make posts that are contributive and useful and don't spam posts, I think this is good. especially if we can share various information that might be useful for members in this forum, whether related to experiences, ideas, news, or sharing various strategies.

This is not a workplace for that word "productivity". It's like saying how to be productive in social media sites like Reddit and Twitter.

Just contribute to discussion/threads/boards by giving ideas or insight legitimately from you and that's how you "contribute".

If you are already on cryptocurrency, trading, investing, etc. just share your learnings and experience here in the forum that could contribute a lot for some members.

Dont break the forum rules, don't plagiarize, etc. if you continue doing those things I mention you are on the right track, soon when you have a lot of experience here in the forum you could have a different view on how to help the forum as other legendary members creating useful system, tracking, etc. But the forum idea is a place where we could share our knowledge, and experience and learn from each other.

We are all interested in crypto and come to this forum to follow crypto news, share information, advice etc.

If you want to help someone, you must first know something that others don't know, so it's obvious how you should start and what you should do, right? 

There is no special tricks or pattern of being useful in this forum.
All you need to do is to be real and be yourself, express your self without pressures, share your ideas and also learn from others.
Also know that it is not compulsory to contribute to all the threads, you are free to air out your opinion to a familiar thread and do not try to imitate anyone. Anywhere you find your self confused you can ask for help. Do not be shy because nobody knows it all.

Gain knowledge from the experience and content of other members and of course share what you got, it's all about sharing right here and correcting the misconceptions of other people regarding the different pathways of crypto it's better to keep learning than keep believing in a wrong way. Just to add to what has been said by other members here, Op to become useful in the forum you must cultivate the habit of being you, be real and don't fake anything else you can't go far in the forum. Don't rush into commenting on threads you have no idea of what the topic is all about and try as much as possible to give your time to the forum, learn, don't rush into getting merit like some people do and avoid coping someone else work and always drop the source of information you get from the internet if you must copy things in the internet.

Here are some hints I believe will make you more useful and productive on this forum.

1. Learn about the forum rules and regulations, Bitcoin, transactions, and wallet. Avoid errors or mistakes in the information you share and be sure the information is genuine.
2. Keep up with the latest news and developments in the cryptocurrency space. This will provide you with helpful knowledge and viewpoints that you can share with the community.
3. Get involved in constructive discussions and show how knowledgeable you're on topics that interest you
4. Help other users that are having an issue.
5. If you have technical skills in a particular area of cryptocurrency use it to help the community just like we see some users that create a Bitcointalk telegram bot.

So many newbies nowadays are delighted in creating so many topics and those topics are almost irrelevant and of low quality. Most times they create the thread of what have been discussed several times in the forum and which doesn't attract much attention.

I remember when I was nes, I was created so many topics which you arw aware. But my topics were not of low-value.
I am among the newbies that created so many topics which after, some people followed my step, but I think it has been largely abused now.

There is no unique direction to be given to you that will direct you in this forum.

Your passion for the forum will make you read and give an adequate contribution to the forum because that's the main reason for the creation of this forum.

It seems you want to start writing impressive posts that will be of great help to other people would might need it or find it as a source of additional knowledge to there arsenal. Well it is good to asked this kind of questions so that you will be directed on how to help the community and make your own contributions to the community irrespective of your rank or level. For you to be more useful in the forum then, you will have to write good content that could be of help to other people who might need it. Be ready to do research and write good post about different random topics, share your knowledge about what your know and also ask for other people's opinions and you are good.

These are a few reasons I can remember, so you need to be specific in your definition of usefulness and how it relates to the main reason you joined the forum.

The best practice is to learn and exchange knowledge on the forum which will help you to contribute effectively in the forum.There are many helpful threads which you can go through to enhance your knowledge no matter how much time it will take.You just need to be determined not to gain merits and rank up fast as others but focus more on acquiring knowledge that will help you to write useful posts.Take part in discussion which you know and just read to see what experience members say about that topic.This is not like competitive exams but you are free to post but try to learn from it which is best practice for what you are looking for.

Yeah you got it mate everyone of us have an expertise and we can use that as long as we are in the right place. The best thing to do to improve our self is dealing with people through discussion using our advantages or using our knowledge. For example if Op have an expertise about one specific topic the he can join and share ideas for relevance topic. So for Op all I can say is that be your selves and find a good topic that suites to your knowledge then you can share and learn as as well.

Since you yourself said that you are not able to contribute anything good to the forum even after trying so hard then you must know why you are not able to contribute well to the forum. Try to improve on what you are not good at. Don't pay too much attention to who praised your post or who badmouthed your post. Like yourself, keep posting like yourself.

But don't stress too much try to do as much as you can. It is not your responsibility to immediately do something for the forum. Take time and improve yourself little by little so you can reach your goals. If you compare yourself with the senior members who are there then it won't be because they have joined this forum from long time and they have no knowledge about the forum. So try to learn from them instead of comparing with them.

I guess you just be yourself though, there is no secret formula on how you can more useful or production in this community. Just engage and have conversation with others, share your thoughts or pick a subject that you are familiar with and then comment, participate in the discussions.

I guess it would be simple to do it. what makes you always fail in your? if you want to be in the forum, then try to give more of your time to the forum. if you can't then try to be consistent every day and come and read what will give you another knowledge. Try to be active in discussions on topics you know about. if still learning, then read more. I too have been in a phase like you.

You have a very distorted understanding of the usefulness of the forum. Creating a thousand threads that don't talk about anything useful will be defined as a detriment to the forum rather than a benefit. But no matter what you say, your supposedly smart conclusions still do not say that you see the situation correctly.
This is exactly the same for the OP. OP, it will do you good not to litter the forum with topics that have been discussed many times; other than that, don't consider yourself too tricky, thinking that no one sees anything.
I would just like to advise all followers similar to these two that all first topics are always considered on a larger scale by users, including the entire posting history of the creators of new topics. It is desirable to see the sequence of all topics so that one day your fantasies do not put you in an awkward position.

Well, to begin with, I suggest you stop cheating and abusing contests and bounty campaigns with your alt accounts. It's not only unethical but it also goes against the spirit of fair play and community building that this forum stands for.

Instead, focus on engaging in meaningful discussions and sharing helpful information.

Ask yourself — how would a person be more useful in a forum/group that's all about Call of Duty, Roblox, or whatever video game? You simply contribute by conversing(in a non-spam manner) about whatever aspect of that certain game. Same thing with Bitcointalk.

You don't even need to spam "guide" threads.

I have similar problem here, trying to be useful in the forum but I think we need to pay more attention to areas we're best good at, most at times we try to do what we're not, trying to said what you can't defend. Personally I have decided to do more of listening, readings, and questioning posts and comments of others, so that I can stand my ground and figure out the areas am best at.

You should try to become more useful but should not try to be more productive as it can mislead you to lower your quality.

The forum is mainly for Bitcoin and Bitcoin discussions so a best way to be useful here is to be able to contribute for the community about Bitcoin technical support, discussion and similarities. You can start by learning first and improve your knowledge, then begin with helping people in your ability from simple questions to more difficult questions with time.

You can start by deleting you bounty report post, they make you post history look shitty.
Afterwards, get yourself some begginers friendly material that will teach you more about bitcoin and crypto entirely, because if youre looking to contribute then atleast you need to possess some knowledge about that thing (you don't have to know everything about bitcoin before you can start contributing in discussions here).
lastly, be consistent. Iam not saying that you should devote your whole day to bitcointalk but you should try as musch as possiblr to just log in even if ou don't get to make an post you can just navigate around the fotum and try to learn something new so that wh next that topic is being discuss you will have something to contribute...

what I can suggest is Try to fill yourself more with broader insights that will be useful for everyone in this forum or in the real world.

we will be useful people for others if we have an advantage that we can share with others. whether it's in the form of insight or expertise and the like.
and so it is for this forum. Increase insight, read more, be more active in discussions and don't be shy to ask if something is difficult to understand and don't hesitate to share any insights you have that can be useful for those who read them in this forum. because the most effective way to remember the insights we have so that we don't easily forget them is to share them more often with others.

It's something that don't need to be discussed, just like asking how to become a good guy? of course you can give money to everyone and they will become more respect to you.

You don't have to become useful and productive in this forum, no one force you to always being active. You must be have an activity outside in this forum and you're either working or still want to get a degree, you just need to being normal and only discuss what you can or what you're interested.

How come it will fail if you are fully determin what you want to contribute. If you are talking about merited post, then you should make more improvement by dealing with your content. Its okay if theres no merit popping in, it doesnt mean you arent a good poster, you just continue it and dont mind if its appreciated or not but as long as you did help or contirbute something thats fine.

Also dont be too hard on yourself or pressuring to do more than what you need to share. Topics here can be discuss naturally and no need to make every threads just to meant you are contributing. A simple replied might be helpful already if you suggested or recomended something in a topic. Anyway you are doing great. Ive seen some seriously wanted to change their routine and thats already a big step.

the simplest way(even though actually doing it is not really simple) I can think of is to read, learn, and discuss, that is basically what you need to improve. read, learn or join discussions about what really interests you to expand your knowledge and join or create discussions on what you've learned.

Every organization have their code and charter, not just here in the forum only. Thou am a newbie but Base on my finding about these forum, These forums sees spam as spontaneous literature for commoditie, facilities.
Mostly avoid plagiarism, make advantageous POS in other to learn. Having a clean sheets (keep good record) to avoid negative trust.

You have taken one step to be more productive by reducing your bounty application posts and trying to be a part of discussions. Next step would be to do more of reading, you can only be as useful to the forum as the forum has been to you.

You do not need to try too hard to contribute, just be yourself and view this as a discussion platform. Zone out from the merits and ranks and activities and build your knowledge, learn from others and ask questions when you get confused. This is a discussion platform for talking about bitcoin, that should be the first priority here, when you have learnt, you can then give back to the community by helping to answer the questions of others.

There isn't any magic wand that will help you to write posts that will get you merit(s). The current section in which you are browsing is Beginners & Help.
You will see almost 10-20 new threads being created here daily and if you have any expertise in any of those topics, you can surely contribute your opinion.
It's on the OP if they want to take it as useful or not just like this post of mine.

Also, there is no need to be productive and useful always as this is a public forum where you have to just share your opinion.
