I think it will be more difficult to try and recreate the things you did back those days. I remember too when bitcoin is that irrelevant that people don't actually care and cryptocurrency is not even a thing. So I suggest you start again but differently since coins right now are much expensive or valuable than before.

Well, for a start, you have to invest something or catch an airdrop/signature like DeepOnion was at the start.

What methods are you using (that you're willing to share) to make free satoshi to trade with?
-Mostly signature campaigns, raise awareness for the project you like and win some free money at the same time.

What platform are you having the best trading results on (I'm hoping still yobit)?
-Defenitely not yobit, if you want to trade P&D, better get on coinexchange, at least you know that you're not trading non-existent coins.
-I buy my coins on Binance mostly.

Are you mining any new coins with a cpu miner that you can start trading right away on a exchange?
-Not really, I don't know if that's still possible, definitely not for BTC.
Are you using any paying faucets for new alt coins? if so which ones? (ill ref you)
-No, faucets give off really small amounts, not really worth it.

If you wanna get back into things I think that the best way would be to buy bitcoin.

It's the easy way to get bitcoins, you can always work in real life and just use a part of the money to buy bitcoin.

After you have bitcoins in your hands I would suggest you the make a research and check what altcoins you find interesting and you think that they have a bright future, so you  can invest in them( take in your mind that investing in altcoins is a very risky activity, so don't invest more then you can afford losing).

if you are searching for a good exchange platform I would suggest you to use bittrex as I have used the platform for really long time and I believe that the fees are fair and support is really helpful.

thanks for the tips guys. I'm not sure to this day why everyone hates yobit. I made a good amount of money from trading shit coins on yobit. I have no issues trading shit coins. I started on yobit last time. However last time faucets were profitable I used faucet box and could cash out 2-3 times a night. I work full time like i did when i was previously trading. For me faucets were a way to get started at no cost other than my time. I would love the opportunity to do that again, however it seams that's almost impossible with the current price of btc.

Don't waste time with faucets like 2014 and 2015. Provide a budget for coins and start investing in them. You can find suggestions in the forum. Plus, stay away from yobit exchange. There are very nice operated exchanges at the moment. Check them.

So I used to do trading on yobit. I made a few bitcoins and sadly sold them back in 2015 for just over 500 dollars. I left the trading game as i got deep into my job. Which I've now come to despise. So now it's back to the drawing board. I've taken a new job with a stupid crazy pay-cut doing something I enjoy. So now the fun begins. I want to get back into crypto. Back in late 2014 to mid 2015 it was easy to make free satoshi to trade with through faucets. Now it seams faucetbox has been killed and getting a start again for free just isn't possible. So i have a few questions for those that are trading and mining random new alt coins.

What methods are you using (that you're willing to share) to make free satoshi to trade with?

What platform are you having the best trading results on (I'm hoping still yobit)?

Are you mining any new coins with a cpu miner that you can start trading right away on a exchange?

Are you using any paying faucets for new alt coins? if so which ones? (ill ref you)

I'm just trying to find a as close to free minus my time way to get back into this and attempt to keep building my portfolio not only in alt coins but in stocks and physical silver. I work a very interesting job with a conservation corps so i work for 10-12 days straight then I'm off for 4 days during that time off its nearly impossible to find side work so i figure ill spend my time trying to build up some coins and maybe make a bit of money if i can get lucky like i did with a few coins back in 2015. Feel free to pm me as i know the rules here are tight (if I'm breaking any of them please message me before my thread gets taken down so i can rephrase things to help get some answers to my questions). happy hunting folks

If you don't want to spend any penny and willing to earn some money then you have to join some airdrops because airdrops is a just form filling work that takes hardly 2-3 minutes for some free tokens of different projects. Also the other way to earn free coins is to join bounty campaigns and also join signature campaigns on this forum. And for exchanges my experience is bittrex and poloniex is good for trading.

It will be extremely difficult to get much profit if you start mining, especially for Bitcoin. Yes, you can better trade. Buy several altcoins and constantly monitor the market of crypto. Participating in ICO Bounty programs can bring you tokens. Try to be patient and not sell everything if you are in plus (remember about your 2015, when you sold Bitcoins).

You had the skills, like you said in there, so what is stopping you from buy bitcoins and start trading again? it is not a difficult journey, but you should know that the market is not the same as it was on 2015.

There is a huge volatility on the market at the moment, and it is very risky to trade sometimes when there are uptrends and downtrends on the market at the same time.

But you said that you used to be a succesfull trader, so you might know how to trade and make some profit, well, you have some knowledge from the past.

Make a try about that, maybe you are going to be able to make a lot of money and you dont even know that.

I think you should join to bounty campaign to get tokens. After that, sell them to receie BTC or ETH. I think that is the best way to come back

it seems with your post that you have some experience in trading and I think you can spot the opportunities and cash them out though the crypto worlds has changed so much from 2015.. you need to do an extensive research about the news regarding the coins and tokens and then chose wisely

- You can offer your service or skills for bitcoin that is the easiest way to get some bitcoin.

- No yobit is full of scam shit coins, I only trade coins listed in bittrex and poloniex and sometime in hitbtc.

- I am mining few coins on early days through rented miner from miningrigrentals.

- You can join airdrop for such coins there are many out there but only few might get listed on exchange in future.

In my opinion there are no OG's here and everyday is a new day. I began with 5 bitcoins about 5 months back, made then in 15 and am now back to having 9 bitcoins. Everyday is a new learning and if you ask me I do no think that anyone can predict what will happen tomorrow.

About airdrops...

You will most likely need to qualify for it.  As a newbie you will be disqualified from most airdrops.  You will have to rank up once or twice.  Focus on that.  You will also need a twitter account.  Many airdrops require that you follow and retweet something.  Resign yourself to having a social media presence.  Some airdrops require that you join Telegram, Slack and/or Discord.  Most of the airdrops now are Ethereum-based. So you will need an Ethereum address.  some airdrops give you a percentage of whatever your Eth balance is, some give you a fixed amount regardless of your balance.  Not all airdrops are Eth based, but most.   Many of the Eth-based coins are traded on EtherDelta.  I fucking hate EtherDelta, it's poorly designed and they cram too much information on the page.  It's laggy and not user friendly.  Read up on Ethereum and Gas and how they relate to each  other.  EtherDelta requires additional Eth to pay for the gas for your trades.

I use Cryptopia for many of my trades, they have a lot of coins, but not always the latest.

You can jumpstart this if you already have some Eth sitting in your wallet.  Also, you can track your airdropped coins via Etherscan.io and searching your Eth wallet address.  There is a tab to show what tokens are associated with your wallet.

Some airdrops are scams.  If it asks for a private key it is a scam.  NEVER GIVE your private keys, keystore or wallet.dat out.  If you do, those coins are as good as gone.

You have missed a good opportunity, but it is not late and there are still a lot of opportunities. You can still trade. Poloniex is a good choice. HitBTC is also good, but the volume is too low.
You can invest in ICOs and if you don't want or you cannot afford it, join campaigns to earn some tokens.
Mining is also profitable if you can provide needed systems.
Don't waste your time on faucets.

My advice is to get some start-cash, which you would be able to invest in ICOs and so on, earn money by trading coins wisely. Trading and investing are the keys for the today's wealthiness.

I think it is the best to focus on bitcoin and ethereum. Both of them have really good potentials for the future. They have good prices generally and they are promising.
