ummm if you have 7 bitcoin to invest i suggest you to go to buy some miners not bitcoin miners alt coin miners. . because mining of bitcoin difficulty is going up very fastly.. so i suggest you to mine altcoin and buy some miners.. or go with cloud mining.. Smiley

Cheaper to buy than to mine. Most ASIC mining companies are borderline scammers.

True but it is only if the coin is already on exchanger.
If you saw a potential coin, and you mine it before it goes to exchanger, you can get a huge profits when it gets on exchangers, especially major ones like Bittrex or Mintpal.

I agree, I just bought my 1st bitcoin on localbitcoins.com. Most of the asic mining companies suck right now, pre-order bs or some other reason.

I'd say buy some now to hold but also keep some money ready to buy if ever the price drops.
On the side, you could try day trading altcoins and then convert your profits to BTC.
Day trading is risky though, so always use spare funds you can afford to lose.

When starting day-trading, it is almost impossible not to lose money. But it gets easier with experience.
The key is to not consider your emotions in your trading decisions.

I suggest you for cloud mining. I am mining. You can start mining from 0.094usd per kh/s per year. Here is the official thread, you may get more information https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/genesis-miningcom-worlds-leading-hashpower-provider-602022

Cloud mining -- I suggest not. I really encourage people to run the numbers against difficulty trend to determine mining profitability. Cloud mining has been shown to be by and large unprofitable. Better to buy crypto directly.
Cloud mining is almost certain to never ROI, another issue is that buying shares in Cloud Mining contracts makes mining more centralized as you cannot easily change pools that your hashpower is pointing to.

With the drop in LTC price, and the coming delivery of new-gen scrypt ASIC, I am not sure if it is really a good time to enter scrypt mining now.

I highly recommend against investing in mining or cloud mining contracts, unless you think you have a knack for altcoin speculation. I would set aside what spare money you have and just buy when you can. Are there sellers in your area on localbitcoins.com?

Where do I go buy the best price for mining contracts?

For reference about cloud mining, you can get it on
https://cloudmining.guru/wp/
http://www.cloudminingreviews.com/
http://cloudminingreport.com/

Those site gives full review and scores for our comparison about cloud mining.
It is important to do your research and run the numbers yourself to make sure that you can potentially make ROI on a cloud mining contract before investing (hint: you probably can't)

Yes, I highly recommend doing thorough research and running the numbers against difficulty trend, since my impression is that cloud mining is by and large unprofitable. Unless you think difficulty is going to plummet or something....

buy bitcoins and HODL or trade(not sure how easy is for you to buy them)
go to the service sections and see if you can find or create good stuff

How long does it usually take to become a member lol.  Tongue

The next 2-week period starts on Jul 8, so you could become a member on Aug 19 at the earliest.

Simply invest directly in BTC and hold.

This is most simple way, if you plan to spend more time you can do other things, but as i said, if you are wiling to learn and spend time for it, you can day trade alts, mine, alts, ...  But you can also use this forum to earn bit coins if you offer some of your knowledge.

But for start best is to buy, you wil see latter what else you can do.

There are a lot of procedure to invest in BTC. But i think the most profitable way is trading. If you have good knowledge and experience about BTC trading than you can start trading.
