I am not trying to derail this thread but I have a feeling that people like Op are behind every major exchange that failed to protect BTC from hacking attempt: Mt.Gox and Bitfinex included.
Because this is what happens when people who have no idea what they are doing are managing services. We don't need any more or half witted sites, services or projects, please.

Wink no hard feeling, but just wanted to correct you a little bit:
Mt.Gox was not hacked. It was inside job, just like Cryptsy...
And they both knew exactly what they did...

As for the OP - if this is for a school project - go ahead and do it. What you want to do is good for educational purposes... (this way I learned php back in the days - creating torrent sites on my internal network, yet I was able to learn from there php and work afterwords for companies and create their websites..) So it is a good start to learn how to make sites and services Wink
But if it is something you want to run as business => please DO NOT!!! as you will most probably fail and that will be bad for you and for the people who trusted you.

You will need to read a lot and most probably be ready to hire professionals to do this work for you...

btw good luck Wink

Well for me its really hard to build a bitcoin wallet because there's a lot of things to do before you gonna make it anyways i search about this last month because i am curious and i got some some answer on my question
Install and run a Bitcoin-node on your server. HOW
Learn how to use JsonRPC in your preferred programming language.
Use the API to program your own virtual wallet.

I'd say don't waste your time, it's unlikely that a lot of people will use your site, there are already a few sites that people trust. With all the scams going on, it is hard for people to trust newcomers with their Bitcoins. Of course, if you have a big pile of money at your disposal and you're looking to start a truly professional and trustworthy service, you might have a small chance of success depending on the features you offer.

if you wanted to detect deposits and do withdrawal, You should just use those who provide APIs instead of creating one for yourself
the price you pay for building the security, the storage, hosting and bandwidth itself is almost in par with the prices and service at those providers

Also firewalls in place is not going to be a little effort and capital demanding but as someone has rightly said there is nothing wrong in dreaming big...

In my own way I think op needs to consider the cost of this before venturing into it because of the cost implication in my own understanding to put all sorts of infrastructures

i would not even try this one, deploying it, sure, but the day to day security and shit, no way

i think the OP could hire a team and own the project, but he can barely handle a thread here, lol

If you're going ahead and ask that question, it's evident that you probably shouldn't be making an online wallet.

Good luck on other things!

There is no such ready to go script. If you asking how to do this, im sorry but you are not ready to do anything close to that complexity of that services.
Hire yourself as programmer to train your skills or do it on your own, build sites less comples ones and you will learn in time Smiley. I know a lot programmers that started this way.

there is no need to build the same thing in my opinion, wouldnt it be better to just create something unique and attract more people to it?

i think adding just one new feature with each new coin or wallet would have this tech over the top in weeks, plus that might cut down the number of shit coins lol

working with bitcoind on a server is easier than people think, the same is true for creating a software wallet(even easier)

you are simply pushing commands to the bitcoind daemon and possibly parsing the return data and displaying it nicely.

the problem with a DIY online wallet that you would have other people using is securing all of the scripting and backbone work to protect the site from hacking and attacking, if it is a toy for you, have fun, bear in mind that a VPS large enough for the blockchain would be needed.  if you consider this as a business website, bone up first before you lose people's hard earned/mined money

There is no "script" used to build either one of those. Both are companies that have spent a lot of money to build and secure their infrastructure. AFAIK there aren't many open-source web wallets; an example of this would be Coinbin.

as i want build something same features please ?
Start development from scratch, although I don't see why you'd want to do this.

Yea, I agree with you on the latter part. Because I dont see a reason why I should build a bank when there are banks around but what can I say everybody has his own right to his dream which op had. So I believe that evn the blockchain or coinbase started from someone somewhere dream. If you dream it you can achieve it so they say...
