Go to the scam section check if the ICO that you are looking at is not in their list, then check ICOBENCH if they verified their account, they should have an active telegram channel and they should answer your queries in a professional manner, some developers are banning people if they are confronted with issues about their project.

we have to do a good analysis of the projects. there are many indicators that we must understand and we must pay attention to all the data that is in the project. when the data we see is indicated to be incorrect then we must be vigilant. data is important and should not be something that can be faked. so that is one way to determine whether we will invest or not on projects.
collecting more data and analize it could help us to avoid fake projects.but we have to cooporate with another people to get that data.each people have limitation in their work.so by collaborate could be good choice for us.

Hey guys, I'm new to the whole ICO world, and BTCtalk as well. I've been reading about a lot of scammy ICOs that take people's money and run away. I'm looking to invest in a couple of ICOs but have no way of knowing if they are good or not. Can anyone tell me how I can go about doing this without losing any money?
The best person to ask this is ICOethics he has done extensive investigation on so many ICO and he already has a long list for this, go to scam section check out his list and so do all the other member's post so you can check if the ICO that you want to invest is not a scam one.

I agree and I'm surprised on how good he is at doing this, this is probably the easiest way to get a lot of merits, offer something that can help the community if you are a newbie catch this scam ICOs post them on the scam section and watch your merits grow.

Contact a few members of the team personally, from their tone and attitude you can usually deduce their intent; that would be the first step.

Also look for paid shills, if most noise about a project is being produced by a few "do anything for a few bucks" mentality guys from

third world countries, that's often a cue for you to be very careful...

Check all the information of that project. Check the project team dev and its partners. If all information is true then you can join and you should remember that even if you choose good projects it will still risk fail
Scammers have become so professional so it is hard to know. They are now able to change the amount of money collected. Maybe you should give superiority to the STOs. Because they remove scammers through regulations.

While it's advisable to check the background of the team, the Whitepaper, the viability of the project. All these may look genuine but you will be shocked to discover that is a great scam ICO in the making. In essence, you can still be care and fall victim to ICO scam.

For that you have to gain a lot of knowledge about icos. And this days scam icos are very smart so sometimes its hard to discover one. But still if you really want to know if a ico is scam or not the first thing you have to do is read the white paper. It is the main thing in a ico and you have to check it up again and again. You have to read it and understand it how technically it is written. Then you gave to check the website and talk to community and founders. Of you find they are find also then go for how relucent the project is now and will be ain upcoming future that's it. Still sometimes its hard to catch one.

New projects with promising prospects arise every day. Therefore, before investing, be careful when participating in such projects, do not take promises for granted, take seriously any unanswered question. Do your own research and follow your intuition to stay safe.

It's crucial that you make sure the team is real and has reliable Linkedin accounts. It wouldn't be a bad idea to see what they've done in the past too.

Indeed, now it is very difficult to distinguish a scam or an original. Because usually the scam is of course very exactly the same as the original. Of course before doing anything, you better take a little time to fully analyze how the project is doing ico.

It is difficult to be able to ensure a scam or not an ICO, which surely we must be more careful. To avoid fraud as well as we can, first examine the track record of a team from an ICO, usually we can see after the project has been running for more than one year.

analyze the ico is scam or not is not easy. the listed ico on the ico website is not guarantee that icos is not scam.
The best analyze the ico is scam or not is by look in the members of tim, then check their real profiles .
well, maybe at the moment it's very difficult to distinguish a new ICO that has seriousness, and no, because everyone has a new team. but it can be known from the background of his team. sometimes ICOs who are really serious about developing have a professional team and have a clear background, and the information is easy to find.

Wait what will happen after token sale, wait for the progress. You can't predict it before the end of token sale because team always will promise everything and everything looks so cool at token sale.

Options that would give you 100% answer just do not exist. This is a risk, you need to understand this and decide whether you accept the risks to invest or not. If not, then cryptocurrency is clearly not for you.

There are lot and lot of scam projects in this crypto world. And there are bunch of ways for you to know if a project is a scam.
- Check out their bitcointalk thread, some people might be faster than you in knowing if a project is scam. So just check their btt thread and find out.
- Check their website and see if it looks shady.
- Check their Whitepaper with a plagiarism checker to see if their Whitepaper is just a simple copy and paste.
- Check out the team on LinkedIn and see if the profile is real and engaged.
- Check if the team are willing to do a video review or check if they have already done one.

Look for the project team amd for Ico team if they are legit
do some research about the project and make sure you review the project well so you will earn money not to lose profits.Of the project is attractive there are changes that its good but if its not attractive its npt good.
