Topic: How to check potential activity of bitcointalk account? (Read 443 times)

OP will only use it to sell his farmed accounts to make it look attractive to his potential fooled buyers, as you can all see in his signature he is selling accounts here in Bitcointalk If I were you I won't be helping this dude with anything as he will just use it illegally. He probably hacked this account as he knows this account will be automatically tagged by DT members.
I'm actually skeptical about users who ask such questions as well as their purpose for doing so whether it's legitimate or not and this applies in the ops case and considering OP has already been tagged on the forum
I think the op is looking for a method to bypass forum rules, but whichever way they always end up bursting themselves and their sold or bought accounts

By writing this, you question the effectiveness of the Merit points system and at the same time you overestimate my abilities.

Stop dreaming, and believe that this is just curiosity.

I see that some users are starting to freak out .. I just got red tag just because I ask for the possibility of counting potential activity.  Grin

I am asking about the possibility of calculating potential activity from pure curiosity. Nothing more.

Ps. I bought this account in August 2017. Someone scam me by selling in bulk few accounts red tagged and with scam accusations.

It looks like the answer is that we have only manual option.

Is there some application, script or maybe some method to check or calculate potential activity of Bitcointalk account?

If you want to do some manual work:

1. Find when the member is registered.
2. Find what date is today.
3. Do a simple math = (date_today - date_registered) / 14 (rounded to the smallest number)

That's the potential activity, assuming the account always post at least once in 2 weeks / 14 days.

If you don't want to, then use achow code.
Why /14 ?
No it's wrong you don't need to divide by 14. Every 14days you get 14points, so it's one point of activity for one day  Undecided

He divide it to check how many full periods is included in the account history. Without that there will be mistake with the last period.

To be more precise, this formula will not work. In this way we will ony know what is the maximum of potential activity for account.
(@joniboini - i know that you assumed that there is 1 post in each period, just want to clarify here)
To calculate it correct, we have to manually review posts history, and check if at least one post was written in each period:
Periods we can check here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/12saLhlUoqIdairxzuSPu6EYGrt7FN2lOstO1yDjCEbA/edit#gid=1012758442

It doesn't looks like a hacked account. If you check his post history, you'll see that OP selling Bitcointalk accounts since 2016. He is already tagged long time ago, so he can't make things worse by asking such questions from this account.

It's pointless to calculate your potential activity through the years. Why would you stress yourself calculating your potential activity when you can just keep posting and watch it grow automatically day by day or every hour or every couple of minutes if your account is old.

But there you go got some answers from our great mathematician fellow members haha.

I still don't get why do you need to check potential activity of Bitcointalk account when there is Merit system. Potential activity doesn't matters at all if you don't earn Merit. Only very small part of forum users get more than 14 Merits in acivity period. I don't know, maybe potential activity is important when you sell Newbie accounts or what? Anyway, as other users already said, now you will have to count potential activity manually if you really need it.

I just don't remember from which Tuesday is starting 14 days period. Is it starting from 29 of January, or 5 February?

The next activity 14 days period is due to start on 29th of January at about 10:13 PM GMT +1 but, as time goes on it the gradually shift to Wednesdays and beyond simply because there is 6minutes 40 seconds increase every activity period.

Here is list of activity period dates and time on until 2060

Is his old site opensource?

His code is open on GitHub, TryNinja posted it on the #2 post.

If OP still wants to look for an alternative then you might want to try iasenko Rank & Activity calculator. Again, this assumes the account post at least once in 2 weeks.[1]

That's it.
Since merit introduced activity lost importance.
Furthermore, your account's post history shows that you are hardly to get Merits.
Another minus point is that your red trust.
Together, it means you are probably really hard to get merits, and activitty count will not make sense.

Sorry, is it about my account? I don't get your point?
I just ask about kind of script or method to count potential activity.. I ask about that, because i'm curious if it is possible.

The answer has already been given, scroll up!.

I don't think that there are any websites existing anymore which can automatically calculate this, so you'll have to do it by hand (or build a small program.)

You registered on Oct 17, 2016. Every two weeks after that your period refreshes.

Simply check in how many of those periods you've made at least 1 post in, and voila, there's your potential activity.

Now i myself was too lazy to check exactly how many periods you posted in with a calendar, but looking at your post history + adding up consecutive postings, i'm guessing it was between 11-13 --(Which means that you'll have between 154-182 potential Activity!)

Actually it is not about my account, but thanks for this example. It is probably the only menthod to count potential activity.

Achow script was paid, so I don't think it was opensource.

I know also Vod website. Unfortunatelly, there also is no option to count potential activity, but thank you for suggestion. BTW Vod make a really good job.

I can not give an accurate feedback. But every 14 days 14 activities are available for each forum account. If the member makes 14 posts within the time.
Activities can only follow post count within the 14 activity window. So no matter how fast a user posts activity is limited.

Posts also has to be made within the period to claim the activity count.
For example, if you have made 37 posts and your activity is stuck at 28, you would have to post in the next window to activate the activity, and then activity count would be 38.

Thank you for explaining how activity points are counted. The point is that question is abut "potential" activity points Wink

I know achow script, but with cloudflare it is probably impossible to get that info.

@Harkorede - I don't think that now anyone need that info when trading bitcointalk accouns (because of Merit system). I'm asking because i'm just curious.

@joniboini - thanks for idea, I will try.

Out of curiosity, why do you need that info? I mean its only potential as you stated.
Since merit introduced activity lost importance.

There's no need to sweat it, he's signature has explained it all, I'd say.
