In addition, you have to check if an ico has a good product preview, or prototype. This way, you can have a clear idea about its concept. Plus, what gap in crypto the ico is supposed to fill?!
Any practical project for the every day life has the chances to win. Gigzi ICO is a good case for this. With a wallet prototype and solution for the crypto price volatility..

Hello. I`m the regular visiter of the forum for almost an year. For the most part of this time i had no certain criteria to choose ICO or bounty programm and because of that i was scammed several times. About 3-4 months ago i discovered some important factors, that can help to find successful project and i decided to share it with you.

1. Choose the projects with the ended presale, estimate the result of it. Usually, presale nicely shows the future of the project and the work of the team. If everything is done perfectly, they get enough funds(sometimes project collect softcap at this stage), then the project will have more chances to stay alive after the ICO.

2. Look for the project with partnership with famous advisers or organizations. For example, Azbit project (live atm) have Roger Ver in their team as adviser. Or Bidooh project have OKEx as their token holder. However, dont just believe, check everything! I wrote to OKEx support to get details.

3. Pick up the projects, which tokens have been listed on exchange already. That`s one of the best choices. DCC bounty campaign was live when token was on the exchange.

4. Take part in the projects with some special rewars system. For example, my current signature. They share ETH in special task contest every week.

5. Projects, where devs are just enthusiasts and they are not going to run ICO are good and perspective too. Example: semux, privcy.

That were my tips, which really help to pick up a good project, because they reflects the seriousness of dev`s intent, attention from the society to the project and the approximate potential. I hope they will help you someday:)

You can also share your own tips here.
Have a nice day

it's very good and useful tips for investors, but it's good to see the ICO for a while until it reaches the softcap and see the time period of the site used, ICO can be said to be successful if all investors get enough profit
softcap target indeed should be the main thing. When many do research but it also has not yet reached softcap then will be enough useless if you select the project when no softcap thus until the end is reached. look at the flow of funds in the wallet for this it is necessary to anticipate the scam as well.

To avoid wasted effort, care must be taken in selecting projects to participate in. I can't imagine wasting my time on just any project and afterwards, it ends up being scam. Those tips by the OP are very useful and will help to reduce the risk level.

very difficult, sometimes ico or bounty is called a good project at the beginning of the ico, but at the end of the period it failed miserably and finally scam. some of their reasons are that there are some teams who run away, there are also reasons that the project does not reach the target. therefore when we decide to enter ico or bounty, we must be prepared to risk scam, or we can get a large income. this is a project that is 50% -50%.

The credibility of the people behind the project - the developers, is always the most important. It is up to them whether the project succeeds, so always check their experience very carefully.

Currently I would suggest you to avoid investing into ICOs, or choose only the best, like that one that are backed by real company or product.
Now, it is time to buy more altcoins from top 10 or Bitcoin.

-snip-

I would add another good tip. Keep track of whether developers meet their investors publicly. These can be meetings at specialized exhibitions or seminars, etc. Usually scammers are afraid to show themselves in public so that nobody knows their real faces.
If project developers actively attend various events dedicated to cryptocurrencies - this is a good sign for me.

Not bad recommendations, but it would not be bad to look at the number of real participants in groups of telegrams, facebook, twitter and other social networks.

Great advices! There are a lot of similar articles of how to avoid being scammed. But investors should be more selective with the projects in what they are taking part in, otherwise it will lead to the funds loss and portfolio decrease.

Research done in choosing a project is good, but it does not guarantee that we chose a successful project. These tips are very useful for those who are new to the crypto market. I think the most important thing in choosing a project is its degree of promotion. A good project will always have a good promotion.

Maybe that is how to choose ICO or a project that is truly real and not scam, although not 100% certain, but choosing projects that pay bounty participants well and properly may be very difficult, because sometimes good projects only pay participants with a few cents to months of promotion

I am pleased that there is a possibility of earning on ICO projects. But now I see that it is quite difficult and I try not to think about what can prevent me. I choose what interests me
If you are choosing based on your interest, what is the rate of success with your investment. I am just curious about your past success rate. I heard some people are good with their inner thoughts and based on their interest and inner thoughts, they are investing and making big money. Please share further about your past records on ROI details.

Just reading the whitepaper will help anyone to find out the right project and the right campaign. This is not a big rocket science to find out a good project but most of the people are not having enough time to go for their own research and analysis. After this, the continuous follow-up about the progress of the project will help to take the final decision.

A helpful guide on figuring out which sucks and which is not, read carefully on what the OP has stated it is indeed important for the Newbie Bounty Hunters in order for you to not get scammed whenever you'll be joining in ICOs, pick the trusted and most especially the legitimate ones. Goodluck!
