If you are going to store a large amount, then It could cost you the price of a good hardware wallet, 99$ for Trezor/ Ledger Nano S costs 65$ (out of stock right now). If you don't have that much then It won't really cost you anything, just the PC with the internet connection you are using and download a wallet like Electrum.

To actually make a new client, you would need allot of money for developing as well as securing it, and time to get the trust of users. if it's an online wallet then it would be even more, considering the bad reputation of online wallets and storages with the exception of 1-2 wallets that avoided the risk of exploits and hacking.

I think you should not use online wallets, although it's handy for work when you're away, but it's not really safe, you should use a wallet. It will keep you safe on your money. Just download it to your computer, you do not need to create more addresses.
