I was doing margin BTC trading and made
40k in two days,,, and I sold at the last 3500yuan where price stalled for few hours.
If I just held for another 6hours,  I would have made another 20k....

But I am holding all my profits in BTC atm.. so increasing price is great for me, however other side of me regrets possible great profit potential...
I should have sold just 50% and held rest... dumb noob retard Sad

Theoretical profits arn't as good as actual profits. The actual profits have been banked. The theoretical profits can evaporate - what if you'd held and it had tanked? Don't look back and construct what if scenarios with hindsight.

Actually no one can predict with accuracy the future behavior of markets, so we need to make the best decisions according to our available information and respecting a previous plan. If you have gotten good profits, I can't see any real problem, especially knowing that market tends to move in oscillating manners.
I also wanted to write the same thing. what would happen if OP would get to know the price dropped after he sold his coins. It would be others who bought those coins who would be regretting. A bird in hand is worth two in the bush. If we withdraw our coins for a profit, it's worth more than waiting and losing in the long run.

Korila, seriously - if you just made $40k your only purpose with this thread is to brag, veiled in some sort of request for pity. Gfy.

I was really devastated when I found out that I sold too early.
If you have any trade experiences, you will understand me.

Sometimes, it hurts feeling more than losing money. and tilted me a lot...
It never gets used to it. losing big potential slips away by just finger click..

Not to brag,, I am sure there are tons of more people who earned more than me from recent price surge.
I am just noob who didn't know how to deal with emotional situations.

You just made $40k and feel like shit? you need pro help. That, or you are just a full of shit troller.

Bear with me
How to deal with selling too early? Don't sell.
Only invest what you can afford to lose and hold for years.

Sell when all of your goals are reached. Then you're never too early.

It's something you just have to accept. At the time there was a gigantic altcoin boom in 2013 where I bought certain altcoins and sold them to get a 15% profit, while some days later I could have had around 250% profit. I felt like an idiot back then for selling too early. Now when I sell and the price goes up even more, I don't mind it as it is something I can't foresee. I don't have a crystal ball.

Don't sell, have nerves of steel and be patient. Perseverance is a virtue and the worldwide market will let you buy anything w/ BTC and this asset will be the only one anyone cares about as time goes by. Like, relatively soon.

This guy gets it

Thanks for the replies!!

Today, I went -10K, and able to finish up +5k

during today's trade session, I had an epiphany that if I get too greedy, I will lose everything so quickly..
Always appreciate what I have, and don't take things granted...

Now I am shorting 100btc at 3920yuan, that was nice move,,
Since I am holding 100btc in my wallet, this will offset any price actions.
It was like an insurance, but paying me off,,  (now it's 3730yuan)

Well I can argue I could have shorted 300btc or something more, but then that's supposing something could have happened
and this will tilt my life and affect my next trading session.

I am gonna take some rest, BTC will need to consolidate under 3900 level  to go up higher.
4000yuan is just too god damn strong to break it will take few days i guess

Good luck everyone!

yesterday I also thought the rate of $500 as a small spike and decided to sell some amount of my coins but due to some work i did not find time to login to my wallet, so i was secured and felt much happy when I came to see the price today, now the preparation for halving has been started and the price is no more coming to down, as in the next month is halving where now we can trust that yes the price will reach to $1300, and so we should not hace to sell any coin if we want o get big profit.

But for you, I will say that you are a trader then why you worry for that sale, your work is selling and buying again and again, so today once again buy some bitcoins and you in the coming months will earn much more income from your investment.

There is no point of regretting over the past decisions. You at least earned a profit while I sold my coins for a loss as I was in urgent need of fiat. Now I do regret that I should have waited and chosen to take a loan but I cannot go back and correct my decision. Imagine how those users must be feeling who have had sold it at $350 or less.

It is always adviced to sell only 50% of your bitcoin when price increased and hold half of them to sell at even higher price and if price gets dumped you will have fiat to purchase some cheap coin.

"Not to be greedy" is what I can say. I sold my shares 3 years back at $3500 and now the price is $7560. I still do not regret it as I wanted to sell it at the price and now I can buy more and sell the shares. Same goes with bitcoins. If you are earning even a little profit, you don't have to regret. Many sell their coins for a loss.

If you got the skillz and the luck then trading is a fine way to increase your coinage. I for one don't so just sit around touching myself.

If you made some profits, just be happy with it. What you have is greed, and when I had it I lost everything Undecided...

if you want to be a trader you have to take risks so either hold and become a long term investor or man up and accept the risks and losses that come with it. besides at whatever price (at present time) you can never predict 100% that it will go higher or lower so choose and stay strong on the decision you made.

this is the clear statement rather than making yourself feels more pitty hahha, it is part of what we called trust and listen to the trend, 20k was a huge profits and it is just a matter of days, good luck to you and just move on bitcoin still rising up so you still have profits in the other side.

Thanks for the replies guys
It helps me a lot.
Yeah once I get greedy, I will lose everything quickly...

FYI, it was 10x leverage, so I could have lost everything if price dropped 10% from my original entry...
I guess I should be happy, and am happy after reading replies Smiley
