it all depends on the coin you hold. Many of them are way past their prime and have no salvage value. So the earlier we sell and cut loss, the better. While for some coin you have to hold for long term. Every coin has its peculiarities

Guts is what you need here in this market whether you holding a big amount or just small. There will come a time like what we have experienced today. we can now see that every fallen Altcoins has its day to come back if it's real and legit and I'm not talking to those shitcoins who only made to scam people. Real coins are the one who has been there for a long time and making their recoveries from time to time.

It's not the worse market so far. Crypto seems to have a good chance of getting new investors. You can either trade or hold in crypto, earning coins every time there is a chance in the market is possible but this is if you just knew what you ar doing. Many traders are often mistaken profit and stop los, profit taken sometimes cause traders to forgets stop los. Then, when the market go worst is advisable to apply a stop los principle in trading. For holding, sometimes I used to swap my high volatile coins to stable coins whenever the cryptocurrency market go worst.

You are right, nobody has any clue about the market prediction and they should always plan according to the money they have. Some experienced traders will always plan huge investments in the worst market only because there is a huge possibility to recover the prices. An experienced trader will always plan according to market situations.
