The best site I've found for earning Bitcoins is http://www.bitcoinget.com/. I managed to make about 6 mBTC (6000 uBTC) in an hour by watching videos and doing various tasks (mostly surveys).
But let's do the math here for a moment: 0.006 BTC * $47/BTC = $0.282. I earned 28 cents in one hour. Yay. I can think of a lot of ways to earn money much more quickly than that (say, mow someone's lawn for $10, or 213 mBTC).
Don't let that discourage you entirely, though. If Bitcoins increase in value by 100 times in the next few years ($4700/BTC) I will have earned $28.20 for one hour of work. I see no reason they won't increase that much in about 3 years. (Then again, you could instead convert that $10 you earned by mowing a lawn into Bitcoins now and convert it back to $1000 in 3 years.)
It's still a good way, IMO, to learn how Bitcoin works--how to make transactions, how to manage your wallet, etc.

Back when I first got involved with Bitcoin I remember doing the bunnyrun game for a few days, then pretty much giving up apart from the odd visit to coinad and dailybitcoins.
What ever happened to "Faucet" https://freebitcoins.appspot.com/ they use to give out some bitcoins. Did they run out of money?

these aren't worth the effort imo - with 3 transactions complete, i made $.004 ($34/BTC * 0.00012BTC).

Please take note that this is the easiest way to earn bitcoin and the price is also like the way it's easy. You might not earn much from it, but there is a lot of websites that you can earn free bitcoin. If you do this daily, i'm sure you can get yourself a bit of bitcoin.
