I think they usually neutralize the caffeine and turn it into some other substance rather than actually removing it. If you really want caffeine, you can buy powder online, or get some NoDoz (which is mostly corn starch and sugar, but contains caffeine). There is a way to extract the caffeine from NoDoz, however: http://www.instructables.com/id/Extracting-almost-pure-Caffeine-from-Caffeine-Pi/

I think you'll find that its normally done using liquified carbon dioxide as a solvent, under pressure.

I wanted to know how to extract Caffeine from tea.

I know how to extract piperene from black pepper

Also what other plants/herbs can I extract chemicals from and what chemicals are they
