Beside that if your are talking about new token then I think you should search for the project potential, team and real life usage of the product. Fancy looking projects are usually not a very good option for investment.
That's right, the top 20 are high volume coins, so that means they have a lot of investors and they have better chance to grow. However, if you want to look for more you can also invest in the top 100, there are coins in the list which are undervalue and can fly anytime.
